Oh come on, I'm being half-sarcastic. But I don't think anyone can measure up to all the frustrations I've endured with map making to date.

I'm well aware of how much more you've done then me, I've rarely strayed into triggers. I do, however, know my way around with them, and spend alot of time thinking up neat systems for my maps which I never start.

Yea, the crystal forest looks pretty good. I did something similar a while ago... I'll attach a screenshot to this post if you want to take a look. I used the dark crystals (ashworld sprite) instead of mineral fields. It gives it a darker feel, you know?

Well, I get two different feelings from them both of these terrains. qPirateKing's reminds me of some dark scary forest where zomies could be found. Theoretical's looks like some mystic pathway at the end of which would be some illuminescant artifact or something.

Here's the final version of my Ambient Contest Map, Aqua Dungeon.
I changed the mood into a soft, quiet oceanlike environment. The music fits perfectly. tongue.gif

Nice terrain Kenoli, but I must say all of it could be made to look much better.
I like the rapidly burrowing Zerglings, it sounds like an earthquake/stampede. tongue.gif

Very nice Kenoli, though I did notice some blockiness frm time to time. Also, the shadows should have some kind of connection to something, or should be more diverse, as the engy bay starts to get a little cheasy after awhile. Maybe add some small shrubs along the jungle path, as well.

Very nice and refined, the scarabs add a nice touch. A few things though: The waterfall looks static, which has always been my complaint with most people's water falls. It would be better to have observers "flowing" downward to make the illusion of moving water. In fact, a good effect all throughout would be to make 'streams' of observers to make the illusion of water currents. You could even add some shield battery sparkle effects to make the water shimmer.
