lol my bad on the Space Invaders thing.... I was just thinking of random games.
And your fishy idea sounds pretty good.
So wooden this is medieval, i have some ideas.
You could do an archery challenge, where your character is on a horse and the horse moves horizontally in a line. and you have to press a button (dropship or something to activate button) to fire the arrow and you try to get it as close to the target as possible.
You could have a colluseum, this is pretty self explaining.
You could have random events treasure hunts where a local townsperson "lost" one of his items in the woods and he agrees that if you find it he will either let you keep it or pay you a certain amount of gold or other items for it.
You could be sent on a mission by the local potion master to look for mushrooms or other herbs for a potion he/she is making. In reward you could get a health potion, mana potion, ect.
There could be like medieval parties where the townspeople host a gathering where there's fencing / jousting.
You could be asked by the leader of the town to get rid of the dragons (whatever monster) that's bothering their town.
There could be a minigame where you have to round up all the sheep/pings/ect for a person in town.
You could have a gambeling game
umm im still brainstorming but i dont feel like typing anymore.. if i think of some other's ill edit this post
You could get drunk and get into a bar-fight...
You could be asked to help the townspeople on a witch-hunt.
(Maybe the townspeople would present two suspects to you and you had to decide which one was guilty or something... )
Tons of good ideas. I will consider adding the following.
Colluseum : Battle fellow heroes or powered up enemy monsters for more money and items.
Gambling : I can have a gambling building or two on the map where you can do slots, which will be completely random and slanted torwards you winning cash, thus it isn't a complete waste of your time.
The other ideas are basic quest ideas, I will include most of these.
Keep them coming! I might have another Offical Update with enemy/hero skill trees, minigame list, and others building lists with Passive/Active vender systems.
Sounds like your still into the map woodenfire. wich is a good thing. What percentage is the map and when do you expect it will be finished?

Sounds like you've done a lot more than I expected Wooden. You've impressed me. I hope you get this map done. It's looking a lot better than I've envisioned it to be. And one more thing, you better be able to connect to the US servers!

Hey good question. If your looking for some awsome mideval type wavs, im your man (not in that way) you still haven't answered my question. what % of the map is done and when do you expect it to be finished?
In a very long time? I hope that clears things up for you. Could be 1 month, could be 6 months, all I know is that this isn't the only RPG/game im working on now, but it will be of the highest quality.
This RPG will suck you in so much when im fininshed, it will act like a secondary new game inside of Starcraft. This is my goal, and as you can see with my defense, and AEON of strife minigames along with bound and arena minigames, it will hopefully replace most games on SC and add a higher quality margin that games should set a goal for in the future.
Hopefully Rantent will come out with a follow-up rpg rivaling this quality and help push the SC map making community in a new direction of quality rather then quantity, which it has been going torwards ever since the Bound making age for map makers.
Just a few theorys no one but I belive in? lol, I can only set goals for myself on this this map, and hope for the best.
Lol it seems you have very high expectations of your map, and you should because it sounds like it's going along great. All i have to say is hurry up and get a beta version so i can play it

Yeah bounds are trully the lowest standard of maps.

They do take some skill in making... they are also the most played games on battle.net, i'd say madness maps are.
I just modifyed most of the screenshot's terrain already, I am fixing hieght issues and anything that looks non-uber enough. Added a few blends lent to me by my terrain blending student Ghost-, I look forward to posting these new terrain complexcies...
I am sorry to inform all of my "fans" (I guess thats wut id call any1 u checks up on this thread regularly) that I will not have a demo in the next week or 2... Lol, its simply unrealistic, I must finish all terrain first, then do the long awaited for "Intro Project" and then finish up basic systems... I will have the demo be a Countdown for maximum playing time, max quest of probably just the first quest and maybe a semiboss, and that will be it! After I reach this point, quests and storyline stuff will come together like puzzels with all the systems im putting into this game...
The map is currently around 15% complete, and will be at 30% when all terrain is completed.
Any more questsions? Quest ideas? Minigame ideas? Anything kind of secret you want to add into the game that deals with more complex trigger systems etc? Be sure either Personal Message me, or talk to me on Op SEN on USEast/ WoodenFire@UsEast.

I just redid most of contenent one's terrain... Fixed alot of height issues and added towns and vender buildings including a temple. Already started on second contenent, If anyone is interested in giving me ideas or real-life pictures of something that would look neat on an islandbased rpg, show it here or PM me!
Maybe you could have a mini game kinda like crazy taxi. ( deliver packages to a bunch of places before time runs out i dont know)
