This is the type of problem Yoshi would never allow, Moose you should know better then making that forum, isolating many of the good members that arent even invited.

Myber there should be a consittution or something like a list of powers..just a thought

It's just there for those people to post in. What it is used for currently is nothing. What it might become is ...

A place for all the serious discussion threads gone bad to be renewed.

A place for formal debates where not just any flaming egotist can come in to insult everyone and say his opinion is fact.

A place where people can more freely express themselves.

But untill any of those or something else happens, it's just a thread that a hand selected few people have access to. Maybe if you demonstrate you are a respectable person and can act in such manner will someone say "hey lets get that person in here" and you too would have access.

As for the idea of said forum, it has its good sides and its bad sides. The good side is it's a nice place to hold discussions. The bad side is it may lead to scorn (which has already happened - this thread) and ego's (which hasn't happened - rather hasn't had a chance to).

Yea, now I'd love to know who is in invited to that forum. Just to see how true that statement would be.

Oh and I guess that "obviously" means I'm never going to be able to see the forum

Oh, and Devilesk, it's like when someone states an opinion in the Serious Discussion forum, someone else will attack them in a ignorant manner, (such as you or kellimus, and well more things can be dicussed freely, as Chui said, so if you say something, someone won't bash you for stating something about someone.

The root of the problem are the people posting such opinions in the Serious Discussion. Most people don't even know what they are arguing about or how to give a proper argument.

They probably wouldn't let you in for many reasons...first off your grammar is well, not too great. Among other reasons, such as your bad debating or your tendancy to flame.

If they let you in, they mas well let everyone in.

Is there any form of criteria for getting invited, or is it just "I think this guy is cool, lets invite him."? Also, who can invite people?

Okay, the second part was my bad, simple misunderstanding, we can drop that.

Now Merrell, while it is true I may have at first glance to someone who is not involved in the debate or knowledgeable at debating I may seem to be saying something stupid, but I had a very clear point in all my madness.

And plus, saying I shouldn't be in a debate type forum for saying that shows that the great CheeZe and DrunkenWrestler shouldn't be in there too.

For me the templar forum is, like beerkeg said, a door to the past. I love those little forums where you can check every new reply and you know everybody else. The templar forums is something like that, where I can "go back to the past".

And for the curious people that want to know what's in there, I can say for sure that there's nothing interesting.

Don't you think if it wasn't interesting you wouldn't enjoy it and love it?
