WHAT IS GOING ON This stuff is over the top. First of all, whoever said I am mad because (U) won is wrong. If clan (U) had a better map than whoever was in second place, I wouldnt say a thing about it. What I'm mad about is that someone's inferior map was rated better than the person in second place. Vic's map was better. Hell, even the first guy who disagreed with me, Procuress said that

"sure...yeah I agree fully Vics upgrade was WAY better than jokers map but it doesnt really matter as it was a (U) contest and life isnt always fair..."

Does that tell you something? It wasn't a (U) contest in the first place. It was a SEN contest. Clan leader and mapmaker mp)minigameeast who isn't even associated with Oo agrees.

This is so obvious it's plain as day. Scarab D is outclassed by Upgrade D. Why did Upgrade D get rated higher? Legacy claims it was honestly graded. What does this look like? I didn't know this was a "flare" contest, I thought it was a mapmaking contest. Look at legacy's statement here.

Well Vic, you did put a lot of work and time into all that tedious triggering in order to create a unique fun and well designed system! However... Joker gets an A for effort. Joker clearly should win because his map had... flare! Yeah that's it! He had a lot more flare than you.

I rest my case.

I don't mean to sound like the bad guy or anything, but this tournament was flawed and I don't think it should be overlooked. Thankyou.

Yes, yes I would have said something differently if vic one, nothing, because there are no Oo judges. Ultimo, that makes no sense, why didnt we complain of the biased before the tournament? Because we didnt actually think that the would make an obvious attempt to make their own clan member win. What is truely unique about joker's map, other than the fact it was going to win from the start?

instead of arguing about a contest that will probolly never be rejudged why dont we think of how to make it so that everyone thinks its fair next time.
How about:

Equal judges from each of the clans
Judges that arnt in clans or have any connections with clans
a grading rubric that everyone agrees on
vote judging
ect.

Sounds great! I love sensible responses such as that sayoka. I just want to hear some (U) judges appologise or admit they were wrong, and offer a solution. I don't appreciate how Legacy(U) is flaunting that he is a mod in Oo as well. I think I should be a global mod as well, I am very civil minded, and I bring a lot to SEN, however that's another issue. It would be nice to get some representation from all clans. I'm somewhat intimidated at all the (U) influence on these forums. And look, they even removed this from serious discussion, and this is about SEN. They aren't taking SEN serious?! Wow. Why would they hide this topic? It's gotten more responses in a day than any other random topic in this forum.

Hiding? Any topic in the Null forum gets more views and is seen the most than anywhere.

I dont get it... why dont you take NON CLAN members and just ask them to vote? i mean if they are not apart of the clan there obviously wouldnt be any wrong there and if they started to cry again well we know that it wasnt flawed in the first place.

I gues we'll have to let (U) have their little map maknig contest even if they do all know who deserved it. I mean you guys post the overall ratings going into detail but come on, you could have just fixed that too so joker won. Once (U) dies off (Very soon) we''l all know whos better. And I love the people still complaining about the tag ban. (clan (U) is empty and ours acctualy has things going on) Funny cause once bots were down and there were 5 (U)'s in Oo. Oh and while im at it, members of (U) should really think about w33dst3r(U). He is making your clan look even worse.

Okay, I want to leave this topic open, I know Legacy doesnt want it open because it proves his point wrong, but I think it should be discussed. T-Mastaa and red2blue I want you two not to get into the flaming category, doing so will send any conversation down the drain.

ADDITION:
I'd delete the flames and talk with the users specifically if I had any sort of power on this network, but with all this (U) influence I don't see it happening. Maybe.

I think a good way to settle this is to have a map off

Oo and (U) both make one clan map and have the people of SEN rate it. (No Oo or (U) people can rate it). Who ever has the better map becomes the better clan. This probably wouldn't effect the winner of the sen map making contest though.

Although im going to say now, I was not the start of the flaming... it was begun a series before my post.

Im going to appoligize for starting everyone with the bigger flamethrowers and torches and super sub machine guns that launch super rapid fire bursts of fire.

I had a nice talk with solar about his opinions on this. Clearly it was only for concern for his clan and his member's well being. Its great to see that in leadership and marks great leadership skills... however im going point out that, you shouldn't take actions without your member's consent. Vic had no issues with this. He was content with the results. 2nd place is no bad place. Its not nice to create a thread about something that may lead to detrimental results.

Beyond that, im glad to see that Oo has great members and an even greater leader who collectively, makes great maps and understands the needs of the members. Especially vic, the defenese god (your income defense is still broken vic... ).

A team is only as strong as its weakest link.



Let us all learn from this that we should have neutral judges rather then an offset of clan leaders and members. That way we can prevent such accusations from happening again.

A clan dieing doesn't in any way, shape or form means it sucks. If the majority of a clan's members go inactive, but there are still two or three people active that pwn and it dies due to people not loading anything, it doesnt mean it sucks.

I appreciate the maturity red2blue. I was really outraged when I read the post talking about nails in coffins and whatnot and that is why I was less than pleasant (to say the least) to you when you entered our channel. I accept your appology.

About the topic at hand, red's right in saying:

It seemed pretty obvious to me and pretty much all non (U) or ex (U) members that scarab D should not have won. as I said in the very beginning of this topic,

"I really want to know if this makes any bit of sense to other mapmakers who have played both maps. I think it's quite plain to see there was at least a little if not a lot of bias. "

And I feel that was accomplished already. I didn't wan't flamefest 2006. Any more discussion after this point is welcome, but personally for me, I've seen what I need to see. It's quite late, so time to wrap it up. I'll see y'all around ^_-

The difference between the two maps' scores was very, very small. (.2 total). I enjoyed Upgrade D alot, but there were a few bugs that might have lowered the score a little.

I see no evidence of an "anti-Oo pro-(U)" bias, and I certainly don't think that (U) has taken over SEN.

Look a little bit to the... right...no wait left!.

I played both maps and I agree, they both are exellent maps so 1st place or 2nd place, which doesn't matter, they both wonderful maps.
