We go by Farenheit in summer and Celsius in winter.

US Windsorites like to either biznatch about how hot it is or how cold it is, and we use numbers with it.

See... I hope Harper dies... Canada has always been a peaceful country and would have remained until HARPER... came into power... Now hes going to send our army into Afghanistan while the US fights insurgents in Iraq and probably Iran... I just hope when Bush goes away the next president reconsiders this war and Harper... Ugh... Canadas gonna go to shiz...

Canada has never been a peaceful country.

WWI - Canada in before US
WWII - Canada in before US
War of 1812 - I believe pre Canada started and finished this war.
(Started by USA, bah Ultimo. I can't know everythnig all the time.)

The U.S declared war on Great Britain, and seeing how Canada was a colony of Great Britain, the U.S decided to attack Canada in hopes of conquering the country to expand their territory and population. Also, tensions were increasing as Great Britain constantly violated American sovereignty.

Also, Canada fights to maintain peace. Entering before or after any other country doesn't compromise their compassion for peace and tolerance.

The prime minister of Canada can't just start sending the armed forces to random countries. Unlike the U.S, the prime minister is not in charge of the armed forces, that duty would belong to the Governer General. I'm sure if Harper was being unreasonable and compromising Canada, the Governer General can simply refuse to act under his authority, as even though the Governer General is used to represent the Queen, he still has authoritative power. The prime minister does not have complete control of the country's decisions.

It's only celsius here in Toronto, the summer is usually an average of around 35 degrees. This winter is pretty damn hot too, theres been no snow and temperature is usually 4-6 degrees, which is good fo me cuz i hate snow.

It's never nice to talk about the differences of other countries compared to yours. It's called the work of the devil.

Thank you. Yes we've fought in wars but we never started any. Maybe one or two but compared to the US... we're just tag-alongs who help our allies get supplies and guns and a few extra soldiers. We're what you call "reinforcements" since we only have an army of like... 15,000 while the US has like.... idk... a lot.

QUOTE(Arbitrary @ Jan 23 2006, 11:21 PM)
Today...well technically yesterday, but all the same, today was the Canadian parliamentary election. From all indications, the Conservative Party of Canada, fronted by Steve Harper, has won. Harper is  the Canadian version of Bush; foolish, and just as useless (this also describes essentially every political party in Canada).

Say hello to oil extraction.

since i am a candian, i have an oppinion. I'm glad the conservatives win, for now. The liberal and paul martin didn't stand a chance, and the conservatives is a good replacement for now. nothing bad, or maybe nohting good could come from this, but i see there isn't bad so it's all good.
