Either way, bungie is copying id software by making a movie just like doom. I seriously doubt you asked everyone in the world if they like it or not but this was a controlled statistic in which it was based off a gaming company very popular world wide. Just cause you are a halo worshipper doesn't mean you have to say stupid things to win an argument. I'll bet anything, you could care less about any other games in the world but this doom cloned copy. If you look it up, doom was the first fps game ever made and has been undergoing excellent modifications, making it better all the time. Most people love the game and more people returned halo/halo 2 instead of doom 3. Doom 3 was 2 years ago and people to this day use its graphic engine on xbox 360 and soon it will be appearing on ps3 games. Now i know you are gonna flame the hell out of me because you adore halo so much, therefore i will not go back to this topic.

You're just a halo fanboy who fails to bring anything to the discussion. Everyone else is discussing Halo and arguing whether or not it's overrated (It is by the way). All you've done is just say that we're not saying any logical (You said it before) and have yet to actually say anything with meaning. If anything you're just spamming up the fourms with useless false knowledge that no one cares about. Until you actually want to say something to contributes to the discussion don't come back. We don't want another desprete attempt of trying to prove that we're not making any sense when you just can't keep up.

you're making those fanboys "more angry" by stating that you're right. were wrong. it isn't overrated. Even if you think the gameplay was copied from Doom, whatever. It is different from them. maybe you dont find it unique, but you're not helping with your emotions here. just cause we're fanboys of halo, we're not fan of any other games. must you follow your concept of absoluteness? you're the ones who are trying to say things about halo just cause you hate halo in feeling, in emotion. after all, emotional opinions dont win over majorities.

This post proves my point that you have no idea what you're talking about. My post was how you just tell us to stop because you haven't been able to make an attempt to defend Halo, AT ALL. In a logical way, you haven't said how it's revolutionary, how it's new, advanced, or anything. You just keep saying for us to stop. And I can prove it's overrated because other games have more content in them and are more uniqe and cool but are not as praised as Halo is.
And it's impossible to "PROVE" a game being overrated. You can give valid points that drive your opinion but you can't post a link from www.thisisoverrated.com and say "LOL WE PROVED U WRUNG". And even if we did you'd make some lame excuse like "THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT" because that's what fanboys do.

Wasn't the original Halo game the first console game to impliment the two joystick thing? Because I don't remember any other console first person shooter game using that system that came out before the original halo.

Halo was horrible as a playstation game in which it was 3rd person and it sucked ass. Halo (on xbox) tried to copy the ways of doom by adding graphical deminsional creatures with great background. They then unleashed halo 2 which was just an improvement with only 9 levels (doom3 has 45) ID Software then released a movie which turned out terrible (directed by director of alien/s/3/4 and the rock made it suck) and now halo is making one with the rock. Obviously bungie just loves to copy doom.

Yeah. Bungie completely tried copying the first popular first person shooter made. What jerks. And this game called "Grand Theft Auto" it's just final fantasy in 3rd person with guns. These people just keep ripping each other off.
You do know that Bungie made a game called Marathon right? And it was released BEFORE Doom. So they were basically copying themselves.

I obviously have never even heard of that game. Maybe it was only for america or something...

It wasn't popular, but if you play the game there are a lot of traits in it that you can see in Halo.

that was very uninformed counter. so you hate halo, and you hate it because you thought it copied off of doom. if you really think of it, there are many games that are overrated that you love and like. it just differs from people's taste. and it happens that minors like isolated games where they like single players better. but some people just like to play a limited gamesystems with other people. you cant say it's overrated because the majority of people like it.
