Bad news guys. I just installed everything back after I had to format C. My map was lost when it was about 70% done. I'll have to remake it all by memory. The problem is that I'm working starting from monday (tomorrow) and I won't have so much time.

I've learned a lesson from this - keep the copy of the map on a flopy...

But I'm still determined to finish it

Or keep it on sens backup

I've finished the terrain (once again, lol) and made the random thing selector working.

The oxygen idea is unique. So that means the map is probably space terrain,right?
Anyway, you get the oxygen as an item in tanks?

If so, it'll run around bnet like a devouring one, searching for a medic. Then infest its self and make copys, and over run b.net.

And the RPD can't handle all of that so lets not hope for that :D

Just wondering - you have actually seen the movie, right? I was just wondering because it didn't take place in the year 3000 and on another planet (it was 1982 in Antarctica). If you're trying to do your own thing, that's cool I guess. I noticed a lot of things different about yours and the actual film, that's why I was wondering.

I've saw the moovie, played the game, played 99% of all thing maps on b-net. I made it in the future becawse otherwise I couldn't explain oxygen & why is everybody in space-suits ?

Ah I suppose that makes sense then. Finally someone literally takes units into account when making an RPG-like map.

As you can see, I edited the idea itself a bit. In ther original moovie, if you get an infection you will turn into The Thing in some time. That is not happening here. But if it would, it would be a very easy game for the Thing

Now I'm re-calculating the oxygen base - how much do you use up in a period of time, in what places should more eoxygen be found, when should it "end" for you, how much oxygen should be on the map in total...

Some triggers are done. Now I can test the morph triggers normally to choose the best ones. (several ideas were given to create a bugless morph)

well that must mean my girlfriend is satans daughter... her b-day was on the 6/6/6, she turned 15 tho....

Progress is slow, sorry. I can work on it about an hour a day, or sometimes even less.

I'm remaking the random unit triggers due to the fact that it could be sometimes biasd.

At least an hour is good for people who have a loaded FList and have to deal with a clan.

So no worries, just do your best, and don't complain ;D
