Problem with that: Bounders find that very frustrating and Micro players won't be able to form a good strategy.
Its not hard, its a simple spiral explosion set (quite slow) and there's a few zealots and each player gets a vulture and they just have to kill them... Normal noob bounders will get pissed, I suppose, but most people will find it easy.

Only noobs will play it because if you make levels like this it will be a noob bound.
After playing what we have so far, yes, it is a "noob" bound. Then again, I'm a person who finds Scribe Bound fun...
Aren't we doing the bounds in ascending difficulty? If so:
Noob bounds > Very Easy Bounds > Easy Bounds > Medium Bounds > Hard Bounds > Insanely Hard Bounds > Impossibly Hard Bounds > Impossible Bounds.
Somebody has got to make the next level, otherwise, Moose might trash this project.

That's because either Fwop_ or Farty upgraded the Zergling's speed/changed it into a Devouring One.

Add it into the bound. So far, we're in the "Noob" difficulty zone. I see no problem using a Vulture if you're going to change it back into a Zergling anyway.

Should we just convert this project into a level up style? I don't have the time or motivation to organize everything and hold people's hands, and nobody else is taking the initiative to edit it.
That would eliminate the "Quilt" part of the bound. Plus, the ability to customize a square of terrain makes the possibilities much higher. QUOTE(HolySin @ Sep 28 2006, 01:29 PM)

If this project is directed in ascending order, I know milions of people who will never play it... Maybe we could do a difficulty chooser at the start to accomodate everyone.
Or a selection thingy at the bottom where you can pick which bound you want to play, and they are rated for difficulty.
How about we stop worrying about difficulties and where to put levels and actually contribute to the map? Just give players different bonuses in terms of number of lives for completing your level based on difficult.
QUOTE(Second half of paragraph one in Rule #2)
If there is a lack of activity, squares shall be filled in by various members at my discretion.
Since nobody has added to the bound in 5 days, isn't it about time something is done?I think you need to have different difficulties for different rows, so no matter what difficulty you want to make or play you can do it. Also prevents waiting for all the nub bounds to be finished.
I said I would prefer people wait until the end for harder levels. I never said you have to. If you want to put in a hard level, go ahead, because it's better than no level at all.
k i dont have time now, but I will do it tomorrow.
ADDITION:
wo... I thought you stopped the project... I didn't see this second thread... I don't have much time right now to work on it ne more, so someone else can take it.
Maybe, If I learned to make bounds I could add a square.
But for now...
I just played the most recent release I could find of this. Awesome work, guys.
Too bad I can't help out... if only I was able to do some terrain editing!
EDIT: Awwww! My hard drive was messed up yesterday, so it wouln'd let me save the file...then SCXE crashed. Sorry, can't make next part. i really would help since i like the idea of a community project, but i absolutely detest bounds.
I'll do a an ob. If the person who has it would send it ill add it.
This weekend, be prepared for THE NINJA SQUARE!!1!random2!1@ I won't download it yet so I don't break the rules, though.
I would've done something but this took so long to start that I went to uni and ain't got SC there. I can do something if someone sends it me within 2 days as I'm at home. I can't download it off the links in the forum for some reason, my AOL sucks....
Failing that would it be an idea to do it in a seperate bound, send it someone, and they put it in...or is this project sorta too dead for anyone to bother doing that?
The project isn't dead. It's just that for some strange reason, people were interested in it only when it was being discussed in the other thread (I would do more, but Rule #2 states: "You get ONE and only one square.").
I can't send it now, but the last bound can be found here If you're wondering. I believe that people liked the idea of playing it, not making it. I would make one if I had the time, which I will soon. I'm not taking it now, I'll let you know if I am. Or will I...?
NOOOOOOO!!! The file does not exist on SeN......
I was going to add my square now, too...
