Ok, heres something i need help with...
What elements should I used? Should i got basic? or complex?
Earth, Wind, Fire, Lightning, Water, Ice, Life, Soul, Light, Dark, Holy, Sound, Mind
Those are the elemental effects and then I would have Sharp/Blunt be the other types of attacks from weapons. I would classify Daggers, Arrows, and Claws as Sharp and Hammers, Spoons, and Punches as Blunt.
See if you can add to my list of elemental attack types.

Hey! thats something im Good at XD lolI am now happy to tell everyone that Lethal and I have started trigger production on Crescent Dyne...
I have started the Items list of 100+ specific weapons/armor names which will be Found in-game.
There will be Magic Find based on Enemy Class (Normal, Elite, Boss, Other), and the drops will consist of the following :
1) Nothing
2) Mineral Chunk - Gold (Low Amount Based On Enemy Difficulty)
3) Tresure Chest - Gold (High Amount Based On Enemy Difficulty)
4) Tresure Chest - Item (Single Random Item Based On Enemy Difficulty)
The random item will be classified into groups. Where as levels will be asigned a range of items that can be dropped and all adjustments will be made.
To save strings, 100+ strings will be recycled as these names and be used in a Text-Saving manor.

How will this not be finished? Lethal and I just started doing systems for this map ahead of schedual.
Ive been doing terrain all day today, so get off my back. The RPG is the biggest project I have ever worked on and with the people I am working with to get it done, it is definnitely going to get finished.

Ok, heres the update.
• Shuttle Load System - A system using just two units for all eight command options has been set up and currently is only being used for test options for the below systems.
• Variable Speed Registry Recall - System used to modify your hero's speed during game from spells, backpacking weight, hunger, and stamina shortage.
• Item Text Recall - How do you plan on not running out of strings with 120 god damn items? Text string recycling. This system requires one recall number, tells the name of that item once, and then resets the recall number.
• Item Laps - All names are setup the same as with the item list and currently have around 60 names completed.

i think it will be done in time seeing as i talk with lethal_illusion (the triggerer) a lot i know what hes working on and ive been talking to woodenfire lately so i know what some of the aims are and i know they both have the skill to do it before they aimed for it so yeah it will be out w/e the date given was Gl and

Are u gonna put in like Gold barrels for the gold theif to rob?
For mercinary? Uh... no? Lol
The mercinary that is a Theif will pickpoket random villagers as you pass by, steal items for free from venders, and increase gold drops from enemys in battle.
Hey Fire, just thought I'd stop by and take a look. Your map looks simply stunning. Your obviously a perfectionist and take alot of pride in your maps, which is a respectable attribute in the world of map making. I think SEN could really do with some good RPGs. Also, you triggers sound quite impressive, to say the least.
This may seem a stupid question, but is this based on another game? Or did you think of all those items yourself? Keep up the good work. You have alot of fans waiting on you!

After quite some time conceptualizing what it would be, of which weeks were spent.

But the game has nothing to do with any of these games, so its all originally compiled by me and will serve MY purposes.
I am ending my week vacation and will probably mainly focus on directing lethal after school where to do triggers as well as getting massive amount of terrain done which is very simple.
I have also begun to train myself in the art of line drawing scenes. I recently found this FF9 art book with amazing pictures and sketches that would blow any artists mind. I am already a very well practiced drawer and I only like using paper and pencil and sometimes watercolor or pastel if I am given enough time to shade and mix colors.
Hopefully I can learn to draw in this amazing detail and post a real banner and intro picture for this thread handdrawn by me! Kinda cool huh? Lol
I got art in school so maybe I can do some drawing in there as well to speed up this process. A good skill to have

For a weapon I would suggest a boomerang, seeing as I've never seen one in a map before.
I have worked on about 7 maps during my one week of vacation. I am back in school typing from one of my classes. Three of these maps were RPG's and I have created numerous ramps and other terrain which I will simply replug into my landscape on Crescent Dyne. Hopefully this will be interesting seeing that you might play there maps which might be released around the same time and then see the terrain later in this map. Could bring back good/bad memories? Lol.
So I have to stay after school and take my calculus mid-term which I waited a week to finish and that might take two hours to complete. When I get home, I will probably edit the original post again and modify and rearrange the beastiary and get some more items ready.
I am currently waiting on a battlesystem to be completed by my triggerer and then I can take versionO of Crescent Dyne's terrain and simply piece the updates together onto the newer verison of triggers.
There are many systems which were thought out and conceptualized (like rantent said on an earlier post) which took about a week of thinking and brainstorming with people like me, lethal, rantent, kenoli, and many others from all different map making clans.
Offical Updates
-For the item pickup, drop, equip, inventory display, equipment display, and other options, I have invented the Slot System.
-Doodads on the world map will be completed by the end of this week.
-Building insides will be started tonight.
-Text recall is almost completed and lapping will be continued
-Battle system is being pieced together over the next few days and testing will have the system bug-free by the weekend

Lookin' good wooden. If you need it, i'll help test the battle system, or anything else you need.
