Hmmm... i'mma join this interesting conversation now... pretty late...


He means that we shouldn't deride or look down upon people. But then he want's us to convert the non believers. One deals with personality/character, the other deals with the religious beliefs. Those are two unrelated things that aren't even close to belieing each other so it is perfectly logical.


Well, u mind telling me (us) what "infections?" Cuz i find nothing wrong with religion.


A: Because they can't use their own reliable sources to corroborate their arguments.
B: Yea, they try and expose word usage discrepancies which are actually synonyms.

Judge a person by who they are but not what they do? Hmm... doesn't an observation of one's activities show who they are? I'm not saying this derails religion and proves there is no God, I'm just saying it doesn't make sense, you can't know what a person is like without studying their actions. Talking happens to be an action, you know. *Gasp!* Besides, alot of the branches of Christianity have rules judging people on their actions. I've decided I'm not going to get into those long and pointless arguments over who's beliefs are right, (not that Ive been in many), I mean, if it doesn't hurt you and doesn't hurt anyone else, go for it. You're never going to change someone's fundamental beliefs with a rant.

Yes thank you Army for clearing that up. That is exactly what I meant. And TheoreticalHuman, actions sometimes show who someone is, but not much. I can type something hateful right now does it mean I am a sinner and am going to burn? Hmm I think not. And yes you can know what somebody is like based on there emotions instead of there actions. For instance, if you saw a celebrity and he/she was cussing at paparazzi, does that means when they go home they cuss at there children or managers? I do not think so. However, if you listened to there feelings about God and tried to understand where they are coming from, you would understand them much better.(gosh I hate using celebrities for religious conversations) I bet you anything a few people are going to comment on the celebrity comments.

Indecisiveman was saying judge a person by their souls, not who they are. Judge a person by their religious relationship with God, not over personalities and actions. It's not up to US to judge them, but for God to do so.

No one here has ever tried to coerce anyone into believing what they believe. All we've been doing is just giving out our opinions over an extremely controversial issue.

He's complimenting people, not relying on people to post for him. Now there's no law saying it's illegal is there?

To me, atheists are just like everyone else. There are always people who make generalizations about some other group, even ones that are so hypocritical like "Atheists always make generalizations about christians."


I'm sorry, I didn't know that technology that can speed up time was available now, or within the near future, or that it was even possible. The germ into human thing has already been talked about. I just despise this quote and your idea that it is somehow a decent argument against evolution, why doesn't god or some other holy figure come down to a large group of credible people and create a living thing out of thin air, or however one would do that.

JetBlast what the hell are you talking about? The whole point to what I said was judging people's actions doesn't tell us who they are. So of course I wouldn't be acting. And no, I don't rely on people to post for me. I a lot of times say things I think other people should understand(like the celebrity comment) and they don't get it. So when people put it in other words they understand. That is why I thank them. You seriously need to get off my back and listen to what am saying(or read don't be dumb). Gosh you made me so angry I forgot what I was going to say...

I am listening to what you AM saying, and honestly, it makes less sense than my posts and someone needs to make up some words and pretend that was what your post meant.
