Can't argue with that.
Anyway, as a Christian, I always thought of myself as nondenominational. However, there is a new church I am going to that is methodish and they want to baptize me...
I'm not sure what all the denominations are, or what they mean, so could you help me?
Some denominations:
Presbytarian
Lutheran
Methodist
there's probably more...
divine insperation did indeed write the bible.... but it was people not god who actually put it to paper, so there is some margin of error....
also, there were animals in the garden of eden.... i agree, you should try reading the bible indecisive...
also, i'm not sure about the "Horned Beast" being in Job, but there is indeed a horned beast in revelations, but he is suppose to represent one of the incarnations of the devil.
also, jesus did indeed live in B.C. becuase B.C. didnt switch to A.D. at the birth of Jesus, but was chaged later. so jesus lived in B.C. for about 25 years, give or take like 10 years.
Denominations:
Roman Catholic,
lutheran,
presbeterian,
methodist,
Anabaptist <---agaisnt child baptism
baptist, (might be same as above, not sure)
anglican,
episcopal,
also, theres a lot of (insert country name here, lol) orthodox church.
and many many more, it's all about your definition of denomination, so church studies have sited over several thousand denominations, while others have only counted 37 modern denominations. so it really depends on what definition you are coming from.
*Rhiom had more to say after reading posts but has forgotten at this moment, lol
here for starters read the first few sentances in the Bible, of Genisis. Then read the beginning of each Gospels, heck just read all of them.
Here I point out that the Holy Spirit (Spirit of the Lord), Jesus (Son) and God (himself) is one. Not 2 different gods but one God. The trinity.
QUOTE
In the beginning was the Word*, adn the Word was with God, and the Word was^ God. He was with God in the beginning
Taken from John 1:1-2
*Word= Jesus Christ/Messiah/God
^was= past tense of is. God is God, God was God, God will be God. Duh? God is Jesus, Jesus was God, Jesus will be God.
Only that God was not human till whenever Jesus was born (around spring or summer) not December.
