Snipe is kind of right about West sad.gif . We've declined rapidly sence the end of "The Golden Age", and now East has surpassed us. Now we have tons of micros, defenses, and porn. mellow.gif

East has all of that too sadly, but in lesser numbers, and countered by good maps that are just barely hanging in there. Someone go spread RotTR. tongue.gif

I cant tell the diference between the "2nd Golden age" and the other ages cause ive only been on for a year. But i do know that many people cant host, so many onf the games on b-net west are the popular ones, and perverted ones. Lukily i can host, (unfortunately i have dial up) and i love playing my old games, a clan mate's, or some really fun ones like path d, laser tag, income d, tarpit exc. exc.

Yes it does. Inactivity in map making includes lack of need to "learn" with OSMAP.

I make maps and learn from that program. tongue.gif

Hmm, when I went to Europe I had a lot of lat, I'll try again some other time.

Well you're wrong, I don't make maps anymore, but I still enjoy seeing how new concepts are done.

I think the golden ages of SC was theses
1) Obstacle Onslaught days
2) When Silent(U) lead the clan
3) Scmdraft was released
4) EUD
5) OSMAP
6) Floating Drones!

Some people enjoy stealing maps, that doesn't make it right though. sleep.gif

Those people who steal maps are usually losers who fail at stealing maps efficiently anyways, not to mention that most maps that are "stolen" aren't so great anyways. If your map is stolen, then it is your fault. You did not popularize it enough for the public (which is a mass of strangers) to know it was by you. Your friends will know if a map is by you or not. What do you care what the public thinks? You don't even know them. Oh God, some random person stole my map even though the majority of the people who have my map know it was by me. Get what I'm saying? The only person I can think of that steals maps (very unsuccessfully) is Dark_Lunatic_K, and I could care less about him. If he stole a map by me, I'd see it and just host my version to the public because I have nothing better to do.

My point is what do you care if some random person you don't even know slaps his name on the map to spread it with a small percent of other strangers?

Lol thats true. No one would even know about that person if thats the only map he stole or he stole few others. I think its really about what the majority of the people knows.

Exactly, so if you can't even get the majority to know the map is by you or by people you know, you shouldn't even complain about maps being stolen.

The melee aspect of Starcraft will be played for years. It's not going out anytime soon.

Lol, people rarely even make maps anymore. Releasing rates fell by 90% since '04.

No, it's not right, but it's not necessarily wrong either if the "theif" fails to do so which is the most probable outcome.
