The statue warp is an unfortunate result of another bug. Have player 1 scroll to near the bottom middle and enable evade mode.

Wow, brings back good memories, i beat the 'stolen' version with a friend once. Took a long time considering the air-unit spells caused the game to bug up >: (

I believe the ending line was
"Umm, does anyone know how to pilot a boat?"

I can't believe that you have worked 5 years on a map. Awesome piece of trigger work I must say. Well done. biggrin.gif

It's great to see this finished biggrin.gif. Excellent work Nanaki and Endarire I will definetly need to find time to play it. I have played the stolen version before... I don't recall how far I got on it or if I beat it (was pretty far though... many years ago so forgive the lack of details).

On a side note to whoever mentioned the Xuru rpg as Uber... to my knowledge it was mostly stolen from the FF3 RPG--granted maybe they just borrowed almost the entire format and map and I am sure it took forever to change the names and rework the story a bit. Man that FF3 rpg was awesome though.

Fate and Destiny is a great rpg to play if you have time and have friends to finish it or can find dedicated people on b.net to finish it. Definetly nice to see something like this get pinned in the forum considering all the hard work involved. I remember my work on Civilization World (now up to version 7.7) over the years (2-3 years now) and can understand the frustration and hard work involved with a project that you are constantly trying to perfect but not quite every being completely satisfied with.

I didn't say that Xuru was uber. I just said it's one of the upper tier maps along with Deathknights III RPG andFFIII/VI. Was Xuru stolen from FFVI? I didn't pay too much attention to the units and terrain. I know that the style and systems are very very similar to that of FFIII's, but you could say the same among bounds, diplos, and whatever other general categories there are. Anyone can easily re-create the FFVI system, and I'm sure the creator of Xuru started from scratch and simply used the FFII/VI map as a skeleton to base the RPG on.

Oh yea, I've always wanted to ask this question. Were you sort of rushing to complete the map at the end? Or did you plan to throw the series of cut scenes at the end? The way it was presented, it sort of seemed rushed...

You might be right, it has been a while since I played Xuru and Final Fantasty Three both. I think Xuru might have been made off the exact same map with a few modifications as I saw a few unprotected versions of FF3 floating around. But as you said their is an equal chance someone just saw FF3 and liked the style/system so they copied it when makign Xuru. Ah well who knows confused.gif, not a big deal I guess... its not like they used FF3 music on Xuru tongue.gif.

I'm gonna desticky this now. By now everyone's seen it and we should be using Map Spotlights for these anyway.
