That is quite possibly the most amazing typo ever. He shouldn't let his freak wreak havoc. Beautiful, just beautiful.
I think its kinda ironic that once DTBK became an admin, he walked right into a major crapstorm. First with the color changes, then with the reputation system, and now with his actions against double accounts.

Okay, that one was pretty funny.
Once? People have always been eager to attack me
That's true. People have always been ragging on you. But it seems like it stopped for a long time, like a nice little "let's give DTBK a break" haitus. Now it just seems like everything has exploded into an "omfg DTBK wtfx0r" depression.
It might be because the most pompus member in SEN history can now ban you if he feels like it.
Dark_Lunatic_K can ban people?! OH crap!
*DevliN runs into the woods screaming to high heaven
I will fire him if he does.

ㅋㅋㅋㅋ...
Okay, maybe this topic could do with getting a little more on-topic.
What're we looking at in the way of DLDB quality controls?I dont like the Wiki, maybe we could make some type of DLDB wiki that is SEN based, because it is kinda werad using that, I like the old one better than this one that we have now!
We're using a Wiki for our DLDB now? Or are you saying we should use one? I'm too lazy to look back to Tuxlar's idea, but I think I remember him saying we should do a Wiki-type think for map reviews that are included in the DLDB.
I believe the entire mineral system needs to be reworked. Currently it reminds me of those game booths at fairs and amusement parks, you're told to perform something frustratingly difficult then handed a worthless trinket for your effort and money. The truth is that minerals, as a reinforcer, doesn't work. At all.
The karma system was built on a good idea, rewarding good deeds, but it's mechanism was flawed. People at large are morons, and they'll spoil anything good they can get their hands on.
What I'm suggesting is essentially a measure of the activity of a member of the forum. Constructive/useful posts will give a small score, and submitting (finished) maps, mods, sound files, etc. will reward a larger amount. Winning a contest will be similiar rewarded. The totals will be averaged out over a given amount of time, and those will be used to "score" a member. This could prevent just anyone from becoming a "regular" or "elite" (though a post count system could still be used).
And I don't believe it would be particularly hard to manage, after all, you could just work it like minerals, but then after, say, a month, divide each score by the number of days since the last to get the average.
This will also allow for unused accounts to be automatically deleted (if an account runs used for a long period of time, they will receive no score and eventually start automatically losing points until they reach "banned").
This is just a suggestion, and I know it most likely won't work, but eh.
So what your saying is that you get rid of the people on SEN that do not post or do anything on SEN, So kind of like your activity, if it gets to 0-5% you lose your account, well some people on SEN come to clan forums or just post in forums that you dont get minerals or post counts where they would get banned if they just posted there?
It wouldn't ban you until after say, 3 years. Plenty of time to peek in and post.
Well, maybe we could make it so it read how long they wetre on, if they were gone for 6 months straight their account on SEN would be banned!
So, a week later has there been any progress or anything..?
ya, some little bugs fixed, like edit. A little bug that is left is the image thing on the top, Now we just need to get the DLDB going! If not the Contest may need to be canceled.

When deleting unused accounts, the main factor should be the "last active" date. And also what themember contributed to the society before becoming inactive (post count, submitted files)
Ya, but how long of a time should it be, like 6 months or 3 months or what. I know someone that lost internet at their house for 2 and a half months, what if they had no oppurtunity to get on SEN? It should be higher just in case.
If we were to just delete members, I don't think we should delete any members who have more than 5 cumulative posts.
why five, on the first day I joined I think I got 5 or more, If you have been on here long enough to say that you are going to keep coming here, then I think you may have over 50.
On the topic of "fixing" SEN, I suggest that a member of staff be made responsible for overseeing changes/improvements/fixes in v4. That way improvements can actually still be made in an organised an intentional fashion whilst we're waiting for movement in v5. Waiting for v5 to see things is an overused excuse.
... How are things going with the v5 pages/DB/coding anyway?
I want v5 to work more like v4 than the way it does now, is this possible, like I heard about a couple changes that people dont like about it, what are the different types of earnings you get minerals, vespane gas, and what else? What will they be used for?
