If people want to download a map, why shouldn't they just use FTP/HTTP?
Why connecting to B.net for that? That's usually slower.
Most people look for games on B.net. It's the best way for your map to get spread.

Not all, but a large quantity. It's really not unusual to have a connection >1mbps with more than 20 or 30GB transfer allowed per month.
