Ah yes, dreams... I remember reading a website about them for fun (yes, I have wierd interests)

Dreams are usually based upon one's subconscious. Desires, what happened to you today, or your past can affect your dreams. As DT Battlekruser said, dreams occur during the flickering of your eyelids, or REM (rapid eye movement).
From what I can remember, it lasts about half an hour and can occur several times during your sleep. During a dream, you 'accept' it as reality, allowing things to happen without any power or control (i.e.: you're running in your dream, yet you move nowhere). If you wake up during a dream, it's most likely you'll be able to remember it (aka dream recall). Although dreams naturally occur without any control, there is a possible way to 'control' them. They are known as lucid dreams. A lucid dream is practically realizing you are dreaming during your dream. This has only happened to me a few times and it's not as easy as it sounds. Once you do realize you are dreaming, you pretty much have almost absolute control over it.

From what I've also heard, all mammals have dreams, birds sometimes dream, and reptiles don't dream at all.

Yes, it is pretty rare and weird. I had a dream where Giant Mosquitos where chasing my sister, and somehow I knew I was in the dream and I kept telling myself Wake up, Wake up, its only a dream, and then I woke up. I could of probably of done other things, but I'm not to found of giant bugs........ crazy.gif

you should just tell him then, then your dream will probably stop, we always try to be extra sensitive to the people we care about, to not hurt their feelings, to "help them", but in reality if we don't push them, then we are only adding to their faults, i'm not a positivist, or a pessimist, but a realist.

I didnt read all the posts but here are my thoughts on your dream

i for one beleave dreams are the sub conciouses way of resolveing problems perhaps the water represents an obstical in your life such and the crocidiles eating your brother could be a way of your mind saying he wont be around forever and his what he said put together may mean your mind is trying to convince you to speak with him and incourage him to make something out of his life

This is weird? Why have I had so many dreams recently? Hmm, maybe alot of stuff is going down. I had one just last night where I was in a van with my cousins. It was tight, until we were being shot at by people. Here's the funny part: my older cousin (16) got a shotgun and shot their sorry asses. I had them drop me off at the next light, and I walked into a building called "Zone 21". I'm like, WTF, what is "Zone 21"? I didn't know, but I looked around and I saw all the girls from my school in the building? I'm like WTF, why can't I control anything? No, I didn't get a chance to have sex. Well, I walked for a bit, ran into my friend, and he just kicked me. I woke up, and realized that my mother was just waking me up. (She kicks me to wake me up sometimes) Weird...

She kicks you? Couldn't she shake you or prod you or something? Your mom sounds like a mean, mean person.
