A couple days ago I had a dream, well more of a nightmare, but I woke up and I just kinda layed in my bed. In my dream (might sound stupid) a flood came into like a street of a city of some sort. The people of the street were swimming, and me and all my brothers were there. But after a little bit (here is the stupid part) crocodiles started to appear. So everyone got on the ledges of the street so that they were out of the water. One of the crocodiles tried to get on the ledge, so I went over to it and pushed it back in, but there were people behind it, and when it went in they went in. My brother, Matt, fell in and he started to swim back to ledge, but before he could a crocodile grabbed him by his waist so that his entire bottom half was in his mouth. I tried to get my brother out by reaching over and grabbing his arm. But when I tried to get him out, he told me "Ben don't worry, my life isn't going anywhere anyway..." The crocodile then ate him and swam away. Then I woke up.
Here is the weird part, I know that my brother's life is going no where, and he knows also, that is why it was such a powerful dream, because what he said is true. I don't know what that means now. After about three days I still have the same dream repeating in my head. Some people that read this might think that im just stupid, but to me this felt real, and I don't want him to think that his life is going nowhere...
You haven't seen the movie Jaws lately, have you?
Welcome to r-e-a-l life. The truth is - our lives don't matter. To quote one of you people - "Just live your life and die." Or something like that.
Lol, dreams are nothing but our subconcious thinking (not really but in a way) they could mean nothing or they could mean something (in the end it doesnt really matter). That one there didnt seem to mean anything.
Alright, it all boils down to two things: Oedipus complex, and penis envy.[/Sigmund Freud]
I don't know if this will remedy anything, but try this:
Keep a pencil and and notebook next to your bed and write down everything you can remember from your dream for several weeks. Write down every symbol, color, setting, number, sounds, people, etc and what you think they mean. Like why crocodiles? Does he have a stuffed croc in his room? Did you see one at a zoo recently? Maybe you'll figure something out after a while.
Dreams are just our brain's way of assimilating the information/ideas we had that day, and in the recent past (This includes what you've thought about [even subconciously] from even a long time ago).
Or things you want consciously or subconsciously. Sometimes you dream your darkest fears, sometimes you dream of your addiction. Sometimes you dream of your greatest wants. You can dream anything you want.
That's also true

I've read/heard a lot of trash about dreams.
Most evidence points to your brain trying to solve a problem in your REAL life, in a safe, controlled, surreal setting.
Many dreams may have no meaning at all...
It's realy up to you, how you want to interpret them is your choice.
Like i said before, dreams are ways to organize your brain... without it, notihgn would make sense!
Dreams have to have some meaning/reason for being... Our brains don't just do stuff for no reason.
Maybe they're just... 'in flight movies' for while we're sleeping? I doubt we'll ever know for sure...
Dreams are sometimes your brain trying to organize it's thoughts and solve problems, yes... but then you get some freaky / weird dreams that don't really make sense, or, a realistic dream of you in a completely different environment. It's kinda obvious when your dream tries to mimic a game that you've been playing for like the past 2 weeks non stop, but... sometimes... it'll might do you some good to try and dig deeper into your dreams. You can usually find out things about real life, about yourself and other people by desecting your dreams, find truth in things you've been secretly lying to yourself about. Reoccuring ideas might mean something serious...
Overall, dreams are fun for the most part. I wish we could record them better.
For once, my dream last night had NO starcraft! Absolutely NONE! I'm making headway! Yay!
I do wish we could record dreams like a movie...
you guys do know that dreams are random strings of memory grouped together to make sense? (aight, well sometimes...)
My main problem with dreams is that if they are too realistic, and you die, you then wake up. Another problem is that they are too hard to remember.
A cool thing not many people know is that on an average night, you have about 7 completely different unrelated dreams. You just can't remember any of them.
I always have the fun part when i need to wake up

Not really, Most of my Dreams that I been having are usually becoming True, About 90% of my dreams has happened in the past few weeks.
My dreams are crazy. I can never remember them after a few hours but I know they are crazy and odd. All I can remember is that they usually are based on stuff that have happened recently. I need to invent a Dream Recorder.

Ya, that will be so cool to have a Dream Recorder! Imagine how much money you will get if you really did invented it! I'll usually remember what happened my dreams for a long time, usually take's me a few days to start forgeting about my dreams.
hey, to all those who can't remember their dreams, if you know that you WANT to remember your dreams, talk about them with someone else as soon as you wake up, if you talk about em', and there are researches proving it, you remember them for a long time afterwards.
about the meaning of life - it has no meaning, as WoA-Felagund said, we're all gonna die, no matter hen or why, we will, so there is NO point of using the time you have because in the end it'll be gone.
that's why the only way you actually use your life is having fun, that's all the point of it.
You usually sleep with things that happened to you recently. Its some kind of problem-solver for the brain.
I wish I could control my dreams. I could do nasty things lol.
Are you sure a dream recorder would be such a good idea? Aren't there some dreams you have that you'd not want shared?
Need more info on dreams?
Click here!Have you ever had a dream that felt too real? It's pretty unnerving when you don't know if you're dreaming, or not, especially if something horrible is happening.
It'd be great if I could control my dreams, there's so much I'd love to dream about.

Sure. But just because you are recording your dreams, it doesn't mean you have to share them. You could put a password or something on it so only authorised users to access and watch your dreams.
