This looks like the beginning of the end for the map. I can barely add any terrain without SC spitting it back at me saying too many obstructions. Here is the message that killed Doom3 for SC.

Its not that I wanna give up its the fact I can't even make 1 level worth of terrain before it tells me it wont load. If there was some way to make SC ignore that WHEE awesome great I love it. But since there isn't I am kinda up the creek without a paddle.

Starforge. The thing is if I add like 1 corridor the game won't load properly so I am stuck half way through the map and I really have nothing to show for it cause I have to redo so much stuff. I wish there was a way to tell how many nooks and crannies you are allowed to have on one map that would REALLY help.

Ahhh yes the starforge, well although impractical, what you could do is just go back to your last finished level and just end it there and make that part 1, then you copy the triggers for all your ammo/weapon/whatever and finish the levels with a part 2. But idk maybe its just bad luck

I was thinking of doing that but if I did I might as well do every single level. Also ending at the communications center is a odd place to leave off. I'll think about it if I can't get anything else to work.

This has turned into a channel talk...
I think the best way to fix thiss would be to have 3 parts...
Split it up into 3 RPG's...
It will be easy because you dont really level up in doom you only find better weapons and face harder monsters... You can easily turn it into 3 maps

Well it looks like the two map thing is the only possible way to go for this. So that means alot more Doom 3 goodness to go on the second half. It is convient place to end though it is appox half way through and it kinda ends on a high note. I'll let you play the map for yourself to see. So now because I can't really go any further with the map I won't need beta testers. I will leave it as a open beta and let people get back to me with malfunctions and all that.

What I am going to do is make it give you a password at the end of the first doom3 map for each player. So player 1 will have a set password, as will player 2 and 3. This is so you have to beat the first doom 3 map before you can play the second.

Nope, when the map starts Player 1 will be prompted with a password. If they do not put the exact password that was given to them at the end of the first map they automatically end the scenerio in defeat. Same goes for player 2 and 3 so in all there are 3 different passwords 1 for each player and the password will only work for that one player. Since I wasn't able to make just one map I wanna make them at least somewhat linked, and the password system is the only way to do that.

Having that system could get annoying if the players have to rm it over and over however. I do think that is the only way to do it though ermm.gif

It's actually gonna be a very fast thing to do. I am going to use most likly a barracks and you just create units to enter something into the password.

Or, if you had 26 spare unit names lying around, you could make a more of a letter-driven password, such as DBBAALOWNSYOU.

The first map is now complete, I really recommend if you do play this, play with at least another person. It is a very overwhelming map for just one player. Anyway good luck and have fun with the first half of Doom 3 for SC.

First post has the map posted on it happy.gif Second half to come soon. I will keep you updated on that as I progress.

Yeah I found that its a glitch to do with Trigedit for SCM Draft. Anyway I also noticed some minor bugs such as Player 2 and 3 getting more armor and health from medkits and armor shards. Also player 1 cant get grenades because of a medic. Yeah don't worry I am finding these as I go along.
