I doubt any new testers are required. The map is 34 some days to the deadline.

You obviously save the game after you watch a large cinematic, that way you can resume from after it...

You are really funny asking that question!

34 days of hell map making...

*Finished Crescent Dyne Worldmap Terrain

Terrain was a big part. Now onto triggers (this is where most people quit making their maps). I'm almost certain you're going to finish this map though, but why did your profile say this is only 49% done? *Starts doubting if this will finish*. pinch.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by WoodenFire on 2006-05-27 at 22:29:38
Well I kinda made my profile be like...

50% = Terrain
50% = Triggers (Which includes Systems + Storyline Triggers)

So with Terrain about 90% (World Map Done/ Interiors 20%)
And Triggers about 15% (Mostly Systems)

It kinda works out like this... 90+15 Divided by 2 = ~50+

And i just made it 49% because I really only update Terrain progress... Lol

I got 3 Chapters done for storyline so far. The storyline will be setup exactly like this...

Crescent Dyne Storyline
*Intro (Cinematic)
*Trilogy (Three Books)
---Book One (Six Chapters)
---Book Two (Six Chapters)
---Book Three (Six Chapters)
*Climax (Cinematic)
*Trilogy (Three Books)
---Book One (Six Chapters)
---Book Two (Six Chapters)
---Book Three (Six Chapters)
*Outro (Cinematic)

What about if you've already played the map, failed to win, and want to skip the long intro?

Uh, save the game after the cutscenes?

I just prepared the map for the final onslaught of doodading... I finished Grass/Mud/Medium+LargeSizedDoodads

Now I just made all unchanged tiles into null so I can see the spaces I have for the remaining smaller doodads and custom rocky dirt...

So close to being finished with World Map... ><

But I still have to redo a few sections which I am unhappy with. tongue.gif

doesn't the three player mean its a up to three player RPG?
if so, what if you seen the cutscene, then played another game with other people?

I tested the terrain yesterday, and it really is a huge pleasure to behold. Besides a very select few rough spots, everything looked fantastic.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by n0b0dy- on 2006-05-28 at 09:40:00
Rough spots?!? Somebody get wooden a buffer to buff out those scratches.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by WoodenFire on 2006-05-28 at 11:07:33
Oh, I buffed them out as Felagund found them... :l

I redid 2 major areas... I am still deciding if I should redo another major area...

I really just want to dive into the small doodads/rocky dirt so I can then experience the northwestern continent in its entirety.

And I'm still waiting for the first three chapters in a PM.

The terrain is pretty much 80% mirrored. Didn't like it very much. 6.5/10.

i'm pretty sure if you played a game with player X, saved it, player y wouldn't be able to join the saved game.

Report, edit, etc...Posted by Killer_Kow(MM) on 2006-05-28 at 13:44:38
You'd probably want to play with the same person(s) anyway, so that wouldn't really matter.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by WoodenFire on 2006-05-28 at 13:45:50
? Mirrored... wut are you talking about...

you don't even have the map... Lol

Oo?

Using Starcraft's Save option, you can save multipule players at a point and RM the Saved game with the same people only... If you didn't know that, I guess you don't have a friends! yawn.gif

Well I haven’t been around lately...sooo tired to much soccer. Anyways if wooden isn’t god. He has dubbed me god in his quote: Woodenfire> "Ocean=god". If you think the terrain is the only thing amazing in this game you are so wrong. This game WILL be an actual rpg. With strategic bosses and enemies that will keep you guessing. The bosses will be like that of the Zelda games.
