Ah, I see.
Silly Agamemnus! Some people would argue that bugs are missing features. . . .
-------------------
I've tracked down another bug with the map settings editor window... when you select the program SCMDraft with the map settings window already open, and:
*Go to another program and ALT+TAB to find SCMDraft.
*Or, just ALT+TAB to find SCMDraft.
Then it will not be in the list and you must select it from the start bar list. I suspect this is because the program doesn't give the map settings window focus (makes the window bar blue) when you switch to the program with the window already there.

*Some random unit titles and sounds don't match up to the actual unit in the unit dropdown selection menu to the left.
*The regular Terran Siege Tank doesn't have any distinction between siege and non-siege mode, and you can't set the attack power of either.
Ok, this is starting to piss me off. When I create a location and double click it, SCM Draft freezes. It has done this 3 times in a row now.

Although some of the location stuff is messy, I can't seem to recreate your problem. Does it happen every time for you or...? If no, could you be a bit more specific as towards what you were doing at the time of the crash, etc.?
It happens randomly. It hasn't happened yet but I kept having to open up backup files yesterday so I wouldn't lose everything. All that I would do it create an amount of locations (like 5-10) and then double-click on the location to re-name it. That is when it would crash. I didn't get the diagnostic thing because it locked up.
Another bug: Randomly, things in the trigger editor change on me. Things like "Remove 1 Data Disc at "Center" change to "Remove 1 unit 247 at location -1".
If you place any addons on the far left edge of the map then it will work perfectly
untill you re-open the map,
once you open it again it says the units where out of bounds and removes them all
If you have an unchecked condition in the classic trigedit and you delete the unchecked conditions and then click the Action Tab, you crash.
Ummm... SCMDraft isn't even starting for me... Here's my stuff: SCMdraft 2 BETA v0.6.0 #1, Windows 98. "Error loading trigedit plugin. Scmdraft will now exit." is what it says when ever I try to start it up.
Hey,
Ive been creating a map using SCMDraft 2 #2, normally on other editors i check if the triggers are working properly, but this happened:
I opened starcraft: Broodwar
opened my map
clicked start
then it takes me to the SC main menu and says "error loading scenario file"
I would try to finish the map and then try but i dont want to waste my time if this is going to happen.
plz help

*sigh* yet another one...
Unzip the entire .zip file into one folder. There, problem solved.

Attach the map.

Heres the map

The problem is that the dimensions are 300x300. You can't have them be more than 256x256 or else SC will crash.
Use SCMD2's resize map tool to trim it down to 256x256, making sure you don't delete anything important within the map before doing it.
I'm trying to get text messages to display, but they won't. How do you make text messages work?
ADDITION: I'm using the Original Trigedit plugin, and minimap pings won't work either.
I cant change the weopon and armour for goliaths and tanks, even the heroes.

Umm... isn't this question answered in the FAQ? Anyways, you have to change the
turret, not the base. Tanks and goliaths have a base unit, and a turret unit. The base moves while the turret attacks, therefore making the base have no attack power, unless it magically grows some machine guns. In order to edit the attack of a tank or goliath, you have to edit their turrets, which are under the Terran "*" category.
ADDITION:
I'm having a problem with saving.when I go to "Save As," there's only three categories I can save in: downloads, save, and maps. It doesn't matter which category I save the map in, I can't play it in Starcraft. There was some kin of error about a week ago about not being able to save certain properties, so it wouldn't save. It hasn't been able to save into a place where I can test it through Brood War since then, even though I reversed any properties that I changed between the last working save and the error. Can anyone help me?
I havn't had time to read the whole topic but when you are zoomed to anything other than 100% and you are in Copy/Cut/Paste it leaves red dots wherever you put the mouse untill that part of the map is redrawn.
Custom changing the color of the grid is sometimes buggy, and afterwards, every time you open a menu, the grid color changes to something else.. wtf..

Works fine for me... If you're referring to some colors always changing, it's because I believe they are indexed from the SC pallette, and that's the way they're displayed in SC.
I see 3 different type of the protoss special building karakyan crystal formation
there is one that is barely completely typed
the other one is a typo which isnt even finished
and the third one is the perfect one
I saw this in the trigger when i click on unit
I was editing string colors and got a message telling me to post this [attachmentid=17899]somewhere...
Ya, the size thing
I think it is to big
Making it not work on SC

Text messages and minimap pings work fine. Make sure you have text messages set to always display or else it won't display for the idiots who have subtitles disabled.
Okay so I was doing fine and all designing a map. Placing a couple doodads and SCMD2 crashed on me. I saved recently so it didn't matter much, but attached is the dump file.
[attachmentid=18302]
Oh and another thing it gives me the trigedit plug-ins won't load error when I try to open a map directly from windows, however if i just open SCMD2 it works just fine opening it from there. Just thought you'd like to know.
Specs:
OS: Windows XP SP2 Corp.
Ver: SCM Draft 2 0.6.0 #2
Thanks SI and you stormcast ppl for all your work!
ADDITION:
Happend again for no reason. I had just closed trigedit without debug/compiling cause I didn't want to save the changes I did. Attached is the according dump file aswell.[attachmentid=18307]

As far as I can remember, SI said that the dump files are almost useless when looking for such bugs.
What will help more is if you tell us which doodads you were placing, where you were placing them, and whether or not they were being placed on illegal terrain.
I was making a map use Scmdraft 2.0 beta 0.6.0
I was typing up the mission brieifing. I was really confused on how to do it so I just copied and pasted like the big stuff and was going to put in the images and objectives myself. I typed the briefing and clicked compile and it crashed. For some reason I cant upload the dump file..........
The link on the info on them does not work either.... So I would really appreciate an answer to both problems

Read above: the dump files are pretty much useless.
As for your error: the Mission Briefing editor doesn't work, so I wouldn't use it. TrigEdit/the mission briefing editor never got completed, though apparently DW was supposed to do it after finishing the first SCMD2:Mac version (which he has yet to finish as far as I know). Also, the Classic Mission Briefing editor plugin wasn't done yet but apparently will be (since much of the Classic TrigEdit code is reused).
So, basically, use another program to edit mission briefings.
