sorry but i believe this will just scare the new members away.. it prevents spamming.. and stuff but what if ia new member want to post more however, he cant. It might even just lower the activeness in SEN. However, yes the older members willl like it more.

what does IP mean? you mean the IP address IP becuase i dont think so..

btw i kind of agree with boyscout. Newer member sometime needs time to post. Well now we have a warning system which i think it works well becuase once i saw you catch one real fast. and you just totally warn them. also people can alert mod if people flame or spam which you can warn and etc.

Becuase i believe limiting the post count is limiting SEN all together. But rather have a warning and not able to post for the ones who makes mistakes

With what BoyScout and nightmare are worried about - whilst there is a restriction of freedom, it may well be hardly a restriction at all. At GameFAQs newbies have the status:
Provisional (1) - Created with Freemail/AOL/WebTV. Upgraded to New User after 48 hours with positive Karma. Can create 1 topic, 10 messages per day (3 per hour).
Now most members should be more than happy with those restrictions, since most members post at most twice a day on most days, let alone wanting to make ten posts a day. And generally, members don't have to make new topics all that often; a newcomer needing assistance can simply put all of their questions in the one topic.

What the restriction does do, however, is make sure that the user isn't too bad - they can't spam non-stop (not that they can't spam at all). One of the alternatives is to review all their posts so that they can be approved or disapproved, until they reach a satisfactory number of approved posts (the idea that IP came up with), but I imagine that this would give admins/staff more work than it's worth.

i think we need newb control now.. i hate some ppl who post 1 comment thing and when i post i said can you guys not post that.. and then he posted again and said "Just to piss you off"

and im like.......

so we should have newb control is someway... i think we should just get more strick with warning preventing ppl from posting retarded thing. then the noob level and spamming level will go down.

so i think we really need noob contorl pinch.gif

I really dislike spammers these days. I found a few who thinks its a joke but its not very funny. I hope the mod can be ontop of this. And also for warning I believe mod should at first inform the bad acting member and not warn them or take away min. However, if once that happens again the mod should penalize them pretty hard.
