5 hours in starcraft = 15 games of melee in starcraft. 5 games of Team Micro Arena, 20 games of defense, 3 games of rpgs.
5 hours studying = completing a book
5 hours having sex = until you exhaust yourself to fainting
5 hours on wow = a total waste of time.
wow should be free...i cant afford it...wow goes against poor people
15$ a month is hardly anything, as far as monthly fees go. I just have to not spend around $3.50 a week for lunch and I can afford it.
$15 is alot with 15 dollars i could go buy something...half my cable bill...
My friend used to play WoW, but he's slown down. He's quit because he says he's gotten all the gear that he wanted. However, once Burning Crusade comes up...
Anyway, what I'm playing is the WoW card game. It takes the franchise of WoW, out of the RPG gameplay and adds strategy to it.
I'm not a fan of RPGs, especially online versions. It's just a long and tiring quest of doing the same repeated combats with dumb AI, just to hope that you get some good drops.
But I do love strategy. WoW card game brings that to me at least. Oh and some cards have codes that you use to get stuff in the game. I'd sell those cards though heh.
15$... is a hour worth of work for good paying jobs. Not everybody gets payed that much. You'd need atleast 2 and a half hours of work to pay that much. In a year, you'd be spending 180$ on a online game thats actually worth crap.
After a year, you don't play. Oh wow. A waste of 180$ now you see it. 180$ is what will get you a PS3 after a year.

You can use that money to buy a box of pizza.
if $15 isnt alot then people should start donating $15 dollars to sen...
Ya $15 is a lot. That is how much my internet bill cost when I had dial up which thats what we could afford back then. Now I have DSL and it is $39.95, $15 is too much per week, thats like the price of basic cable but for a game.

Have you even played WoW?
It doesnt matter if you havent played WoW before, its $15 that you dont need to spend. Starcraft and other games are free. Why play a game thats $15 more than another game. I wouldnt play if it was $50 a year.
Because it's more fun than the other games..? Not really that hard of a concept to figure out..
Okay, yay a little but better game that costs 180 a year. I have played Starcraft online for about 4 years now. That would be $720 If I played WoW instead. I think that if people thought about it that way, its quite the rip off!
720 for four years, that must be like 40 cents a day... is it that big of a deal? Seriously, 15 dollars a month really isn't that much for anybody who has a job... and maybe to some people, 4 years of entertainment is worth 720 dollars.
Yes 15 a month or 180 a year is very good entertainment, but you know whats better. Free. When you can get the same entertainment for free, its just that much better
If people could find games of equal value and entertainment than WoW for free, they would play them instead. BUT YOU CAN'T.
Come on, let's use common sense.
I have to agree with Deathawk. It has awesome playability and is definitely worth the 15$ a month. I didn't think so at first, but once I played it, I loved it.
World of Warcraft is a hobby. Many hobbies cost money, but you play to have fun.
Yes I see that Warcraft may be better than Starcraft, but with the added $15 a month I believe they are basically the same. And I could do with having an extra $720 ever four years.
it's more like 180, and if u go with the long term plan, it becomes more like 120-140.
180 is less than what I used to yearly spend on games. Ever since I got wow, I've been buying less than half the games I usually used to buy.
Oh ya, I meant 720 every four years. Ya, I havent bought any new games since I have gotten Starcraft. Except for Yuri's Revenge which was an expansion to something I already have. So I have botten a lot less than half. I just like Starcraft more than WoW mostly because of the price. Its a really fun game, but never really caught me and the 15 isnt drawring me any closer.
I think it depends on the person. You have people like me who do not tend to buy video games and play essentially every video game they have to one hundred percent completion. These people do not need World of Warcraft as they are content with the video games they have and spend less than fifteen dollars a month on video games.
Then you have the people either go through video games really quickly, buy expensive video games, or barely play each video game. For these people, fifteen dollars a month is far less than they will spend on video games.
So, according to me, the worth of World of Warcraft is relative. The only benefit to one of the sides is that the people in the first group tend to not be as addicted and thus tend to get more work done.
15$ a month to me is like, I'm not gonna order pizza. I'm just gonna eat some noodles. That'll alleviate the cost of the monthly play of wow for me.
I agree with cow, it is relative to the person. But 15$ a month is not a big of deal not to play a great game. Unless you're living with your parents and got no job.

Ya, I noramlly just play one game for a long time. I have bought about 10 games all together for the computer in my many years of playing. I have played Starcraft, Yuri's Revenge, and Renegade online and for over a year. Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge I have played for about 3 years and Starcraft for about 4 and Renegade for about a year and a half. So I normally just stick to one game and play a lot.
