Update on story: It appears that WoodenFire is no longer going to be generously giving me the story - I'm going to have to track down a certain friend of his, interrogate him, and then extract the story from his cold, dead hands. Really, why can't you just send the bloody file to me?
Total gameplay time is expected about 70 hours.
and the sprites are to go on top of the tree trunks and pilar bottoms... they are Required to finish my ISOM/Extended aspect.
Addition : I updated the main thread with the realtively finished World Map.
Working on some adjustments and I will eventually do stats for the remaining items.
I was refering to 28 scenes of one chapter out of 36 chapters as being about 2-3 hours of gameplay.
SEVENTY HOURS?!?! That's longer than a few stand-alone console RPGs... XD
I guess I'm gonna have to revist Starcraft and find some friends... XD

Meh, good luck with churning out 70 hours of gameplay. Most likely that's a typo - I bet it was supposed to be only 7 hours of gameplay.

Haha ya wasn't even close to a typo... I don't think you guys realize what is going to happen. 70 hours isn't possible for one person to do. But this isn't just one person. 70 hours is capable with a group project.

because if it isnt, replay value will be...rather poor.

This map will never become popular on b-net, most of b-net are noobs who play idiotic, not-balanced, cheap (I mean no work put into them), buggy maps.
The map is 5MB, it won't generate B.net hype because of it's sheer file size.
No, among mapping communities, it will be huge. Much like all other "epic" RPG's.
It's a single 256x256 map. How do you expect to possibly keep it interesting for that amount of time? I think it would grow monotonous after four to five hours, at the very best. There's only so much interesting terrain and fancy effects can do.
Something called gameplay might do it.
Will you guys have defense parts, like you defend a town (or something else) from hordes of enemies for some short (relativeley) periodod time ? Or any other not-RPG style parts ?
I still don't see how they can manage 70 hours of gameplay and over an hour of cinematics without going over the string limit. Well they probably have a good idea so I'll leave it to them. But yea, I'd probably quit after the first 5 hours, thats just too long lol.
It is non-stop gameplay, its not like training for 50 hours... it is storyline and objectives for a straight 70 hours...
We are distributing the text strings throughout the chapters to maximize storyline and information.
There will be multipul, non-rpg aspects to the game. Defense, bound type, and others.

Oh, I get it. Theres a lot of optional stuff that you can do, and if you choose to do
everything, it would take over 70 hours to complete it all?
Are you finished the terrain yet... It's been sooOoOoO long that you've worked on this map and it seems the terrain keeps changing... How long did you spend working on the terrain anyway? Finish the map!!! I'm dying to play it.
