Everything he says that's going to be in this map will not be in it. Wooden just has an imagination. Not only that, but I've seen the terrain up close and personal, and it's not absolutely amazing. Pretty much a copy and paste throughout the entire map. Terrain is mostly ramps and it looks very boring. After about 5 minutes, you will want to get your ass OUT of the map, because the terrain is so repetitive that it'll drive you insane and you'll be extremely bored. Apart from 5 amazing custom doodads in the map, the entire terrain is repetitive and boring.

Well first off, everything on the thread is on or will be on the map (unless he decides to change something). The different weapons and items are possible through the slot system, text conservation, and the MEBS system. Oh, and DLK, see the trigger version before you say anything...

hours of game play!!!! I don't think i could play a map for 70 hours.. not on sc

I will spend today mostly polishing the world map terrain to the best of my abililty.
I don't see DLK's post having any base... you havn't even seen the map... The picture on the thread is from Starforge's minimap thing... I don't think you understand any systems we have in this game, so stop saying we don't have them.

How can you rate a maps systems if you haven't even seen a trigger version of the map? You make no sense DLK. And state where you "proved" this map isn't all that he says it is.
Dl I can assure you that every system in this thread is in the map. The game play will be very unique.
DLK, for whatever the reason, needs to criticize everyone's map wrongly. In my Oceanic Warfare thread (see sig) he complained of bugs other stuff. When I asked him what the bugs were and explained the rest of the stuff, he replied but never explained the bugs.

You have to wonder if how often he gets warnings and mineral subtractions for this kind of stuff...
But DLK, your not much to talk seeing that apparently in your "Facist Storm" map you got people to do your own ISOM terrain, which takes very very very limited skills.
Why don't you just stop posting in this thread, because all you do is irritate the living hell out of the people in it.
The only way I think I would play (and finish that is) a map that takes 70 hours is if it were possible to play in single player, because it would be difficult (as in practically impossible) to have 3 people play together that much, and almost no one would finish it.
You could play in multiplayer by your self and save a lot. Or you could play it for 49 hours straight like that guy that died from SC. Woodenfire, you might cause a lot of deaths with your map.

1. Oceanic Warfare's glitch was that the buildings get captured way too easily and there was health on it (was it pose to have health)? Very bad map either way, 1/10 for u.
2. If you say that I think the systems in this are crappy, you are sadly wrong. I wanna see this map, but it's getting hyped up for no reason in my point of view. Wooden just never finishes maps, from looking at wothenball, puzzling 2 and especially rithmic rpg which looks like this.
You know what, I'll start being nice from now on. But if any of you piss me off again I'm going back to this form. Good luck on map Wooden.

Aside from all this DLK bashing (however unreasonable some of his comments may be...), I'm going to talk about something else, like the seventy hour gameplay factor. And yes, that beats out the game length on many console RPGs. And I thought three hours of gameplay was ambitious enough. Well, you're definately going to have to make one heck of a battle system and other mechanics to keep players' interest in this map. I'm worrying even thinking about making a review for this map. I am also doubting the ability to balance between a 70 hour map, a 1024 or so string limit, a great storyline, and poetry. Personally, I'm really not sure how you can reach the expectations of all of the above. From what I'm speculating, it's only possible to follow through all of the listed by making the lines very concise (which contradicts poetry, because most poems are rather vague), or have the story move very slowly. Even with recycled strings, I don't believe that you can have under 1024 different text lines with what you're aspiring to do.
Tell me, how are you planning to counter those problems?
The more, the better, as long as the game doesn't turn into hack and slash at some point in game or doesn't get repetitive.

First off, concider this... If there are 98 equipable items in the game... How is 3 hours a good estimated game time... that would be like you finding a completely different item every 2 minutes... So in 2x10 minutes, you will have the best weapon/armor/belt/boots/helmet/gloves in the game? Really cool estimation you got there! O:
If anyone has played Diablo games, you will probably get hooked on this game for much longer then my expected game time, for MagicFind is a major component to the battle system and game progression.
Storyboard and books are being designed based on Textstring limits... that covers all of my bases...
Deathcounters will be reused throughout the game, alternate quests, and non-hack/slash game play will be relatively abundant.

Well... you guys have seen the bare minimum through the openning on this thread. This is just the skin of a great RPG.
If this is what you call "Hyping" a map up, and this is the bare minimum of what we have told you... This might get very interesting, very fast...
