sounds like an interesting document
we also did fine as an imperialistic country
we started doing bad when we got into these wars that the Bushes started
we dont need to get into wars to be an imperialistic country

We can't be imperialistic anymore, cause there isn't anything left to take over. Lol

Iraq is not the only time we started wars. Go ask your history teacher about it, or go to history.com or something. Just look at all of our wars. Most of them was because of us. That's why people call us Imperialistic. Especially when we have right wing conservatives singing songs on how we'll put a boot up your ass if you don't agree with us. Ya, we're the masters of getting countries to like us.

The only thing left to take over really, is natural resources. Not to take the entire country that's there, just take the land that the resources are on, or get really really close with the people that own that land. So it basically becomes yours. And if they try to raise the price, you raise your gun.

It's all about the money.

You are right. The only reason we are in Iraq, it to get closer to the oil that is there.... All this government is about, is money......

Don't all wars have something to do with economic gain? I overheard a conversation once that the Vietnam War was because the government suspected there might be oil in and around Vietnam.

There is oil there, but that's not the "reason" we went in there (well, at least from what the government says) We suposidly went in there to "thort communism"... Yeah, just a hole bunch of lies by our government.......

War is a sort of useless thing. We all should know about the two World Wars that happened. But why? Why do people have to fight? War is just stupid. As we speak, people could be fighting amonst something. We have lost many lives to war and fighting, so what would happen if we never had the 2 World Wars, what would our lives be like then?

Because some bright guy way back in Mesopotamia figured out that if you terrorize and kill people in a country you can enforce your will upon them, and get free money and land. Then somebody else figured out that if you kill the people trying to take you over, you don't get taken over. Bingo: war.

I remember my freshmen year, my World Geography teacher told us that in the future, there's going to be a war over drinkable water... ermm.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Loser_Musician on 2005-06-25 at 18:06:42
Ya, because water really disappears, because you see, water does not last forever. It's not like we've had the same exact water for billions of years or something. One day will run out. (Sarcasm)

When this war does come to pass, I wonder what would happen to the losing sides... crazy.gif

They'll create their own culuture, and might even create their own religion and politics. And their politics will try not to repeat the same mistake their ancestors did before them. (Like us for example)
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MillenniumArmy on 2005-06-25 at 18:24:44
I mean how are they going to survive? Since they lost the war over water, what are they going to drink?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MapUnprotector on 2005-06-25 at 19:03:43
If there is very little water and they lost the war over water, well then they are basically going to die. Survival of the fittest.

If only we could find a cheap way to efficiently desalinate water...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Loser_Musician on 2005-06-25 at 19:13:20
What I'm trying to say is, we're never gonna fight over water. Water is everywhere. And IF we do lose it, I'm more than certain we can find out how to make it. It's just H2O.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MapUnprotector on 2005-06-25 at 19:14:45
The problem is that a lot of it is not drinkable, I read like 97% is salt water and 2% is in the ice caps and theres only 1% we can drink, and that 1% is getting polluted and stuff.

I think another problem is that trying to clean the water just uses up too much energy. In third world countries its a big problem.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Loser_Musician on 2005-06-25 at 19:19:57
My friend's dad runs the water treatmeant plant in most of Fort Myers Florida. If you got the top 20 smartest people when it comes to water control in the USA, he'll be on that list.

He clearly said to me, cause I used to think the exact same way, "We're never gonna have a war over water. Ever. It has to be some different planet or something. Here on Earth, no."
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MillenniumArmy on 2005-06-25 at 19:27:47
I guess a war over food is more likely to happen than one over water then i guess
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Snake)Ling on 2005-06-25 at 19:40:01
Still though, a war for the sake of goodly gain is the most likely.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MapUnprotector on 2005-06-25 at 19:45:12
I once heard we have well over enough food to feed the whole world, it's just we can't transport any of it very well over to like third world countries, like some countries have a good surplus of food, and others are just very low on food. It's just about the distribution.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MillenniumArmy on 2005-06-25 at 20:10:35
And also, some countries, like us, dont use our foods well. Everyday, we waste tons of food.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MapUnprotector on 2005-06-25 at 20:52:38
Don't forget the obesity...

They should create a program where they pair up an overweight person with an underweight person, and they can like sponsor eachother and help eachother get to a more healthier weight.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MillenniumArmy on 2005-06-25 at 22:33:40
Meh, being underweight is no problem at all in our country tongue.gif

Obesity is something you can somewhat (but not fully) control, but most people just simply choose not to put in a little xtra work.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MapUnprotector on 2005-06-25 at 22:41:50
Well being underweight can cause health problems. I was thinking more like those sponsor a kid in africa type programs tongue.gif An obese person sponsors an underweight person in a third world country by giving like half of his food money to the other dude smile.gif

not to be a censored.gif but you all are talking about food.....in a war topic......im lost.....i can see how food can start a war, but well, the topic posted about the distrabution....thats not compleatly right, we can take whatever wherever whenever. it may not be "fresh" but its food. but anyway.

war. this is as close to the topic that i can come to it with out stepping on anyones toes. what whould be the best group to join?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Snake)Ling on 2005-06-26 at 07:51:31
Best group to join? WHAT? What are you talking about?

Anyways, there were once wars over food, I believe. In ancient Mesopotamia, the Fertile Crescent was very fertile, thus, it had plenty of food. So it got invaded.
