No. You know what he meant. I don't care what he meant. I take what he has and argue against it. If you think that's wrong, then you should take a debate class.

You don't care what he meant? Wow.
Perhaps I'm wrong, but you seem more intent on nit-picking at the delivery of an argument than at the argument itself. We all know what he meant.
Also, I'm awaiting an apology for your (yet again) ill-fated attempt at correcting me, this time my grammar.Despite the fact that this discussion has been off-topic for 4 pages now, the moderators still have not taken action.
Someone make a topic "4 reasons why SEN blows"
What I have observed, which also was confirmed by PCFredz is political debates on these forums is not only unnecessary, excessive but also stupid and irrelevant. I hope you all understand every political topic eventually ends up with two or three people nit-picking at each other and how they debate.
For example, instead of Basan coming up with a response of unrefutable evidence against him, he decides to tear down the person who introduced the evidence by linking to a fallacy page, first introduced by DrunkenWrestler.
Also, CheeZe instead of reading the article, he might skim through it and find something that might be untrue and centralizes his entire focus on that, demanding the whole article as false. He focuses on a sentence instead of grasping what the entire article says.
As for President Bush, all of you believe he has a lot of power in the government. I'm sorry to break all of your hearts, in reality he does not. He makes minor small decisions, as for the war in Iraq, this was voted upon and passed by members that we elected, if you want to blame anyone, blame yourselves.
Blood for oil? Hell, get out of all of your little boxes of Disney's perfect happily ever after life, there is none, life is what you make it. Do what you can to make your life happy. If gas prices are this high, I would hope that we would take a lot of oil from Iraq to compensate for our government's deficit. If it improves our way of living, to hell with everyone else. Unfortunately we are not taking any oil. The army isn't drafting people to go to Iraq, its all volunteers, they all know the risks when they joined.
People are afraid that the war in Iraq will just be another Vietnam experience. Which in any case, the war in Vietnam claimed roughly 58,000 lives and the war in Iraq is up to 1900 heroic soldiers.
On the war topic...Everyone gets all "huffy puffy" because we did not find any WMDs in Iraq, so I guess we went to war for nothing. All I have to say to this is, Shut the
Up, Saddam had what was coming to him. He was a very bad dictator against his people and was a refinery of immorality.
To sum things up, I know all of you have heard this a million times but I being an (U) Leader for a year, I came to realize 2 main things.
1. You can't please everyone.
2. You are the "fall guy" or the guy everyone blames if something doesnt turn out as well as expected.
CheeZe, please read this as a whole. Basan, I dont give a
about your fallacy crap.
As a final rant, this country needs to go bankrupt, refinance and start over. The main thing that is bringing this country down is minority rights, government funded programs, and greed. *APPLAUSE*
Seriously Im almost getting a tear I loved it....... Im not kidding.....
Oh, I realized that I didn't even address the main topics, so let me dive right in.

1.George Bush said he supported childrens hospitals, and suggested we support them. When he became president, Bush’s first budget proposed cutting grants to children’s hospitals like the one he visited by 15% ($34 million). His 2004 budget additionally proposes to cut 30% ($86 million) out of grants to children’s hospitals.
He does support them, they still exist don't they? Naturally, he's a republican, so... gues what... less government interaction with buisness! Wow, problem addressed.QUOTE
2.Bush wants to fund foodbanks so elderyly people can have meals, such as the 'Meals on Wheels' things. However, The 2003 and 2004 Bush budgets proposes to freeze the Congregate Nutrition Program, which assists local soup kitchens and meals on wheels programs. With inflation, this proposal would mean at least 36,000 seniors would be cut from meals on wheels and congregate meals programs. Currently, 139,000 seniors are already on waiting lists for home-meal programs. His 2004 budget continues the freeze.
I really do not have anything to say to this because of my biased opinion of old people. My answer would be devastating to the light-hearted.

3.Bush supported the NCLB (No Child Left Behind) Act, and guess what? The President’s 2003 budget – the first education budget after he signed and touted the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) - proposed to cut NCLB programs by $90 million overall, leaving these programs more than $7 billion short of what was authorized under the bill. Bush’s 2004 budget for NCLB is just 1.9% above what he proposed in 2003 . Not to mention the education cuts that he wants to put forth as of this year.
I can really rant this one up. Again, about him cutting funding for government aid programs, see my first point. Another thing, the NCLB is an initiation of a hopefully-soon nationwide change of the public school system.
Here me out on this one. I have never been to a public school. I am now attending a college where I find it unbelievable easy, (due to my education) however there are other peers who find these classes challenging as reflected by their grades.
Public schools are a waste of money, in some cases, people pay more in taxes then the tuition for a private school. How can kids have more money invested into them and produce worse results? Human nature, there is no competition thus no "cookie-cutter" budgets to save money (also better teachers, proper books, right classes)
In short, the future of school lies in the hands of charter schools. People choose which school they want to donate their taxes to and send their kids there. This will create competition amongst schools, eliminate administrators wasting money, and produce smarter kids.
Simple solution.
NCLB act clearly appears to me a good (slow) start in the right direction. QUOTE

too bad even after these cuts the government is still paying more to public education then previous administrations.
Meh NCLB is just a fancy way of saying were gonna up the standards... Which they did.... trust me when 9 kids pass an algabra 1 class... all i can say is No child left behind my... well you get the picture... thease 21 kids that didnt pass werent exactly prepaird for highschool were they.... But oh well they will just take it next year... Im sory did I say I do not like this administration too terribly much? If I havent made it obvious already....
And its bad to up standards? Compared to the rest of the world, our country is dumb, why should we stay dumb? Why set low standards? We need to stop feeling sorry for ourselfs...
NCLB wants EVERY child to be either proficient or advanced by 2014, in my state's standardized test. This is impossible, because retards exist.
You guys are observing and judging what the NCLB act is directly doing, you need to look at the bigger picture.
There are many factors that make this country the best. One factor is how our economy works, those that work hard, show initiative, and bold do better, live a better lifestyle.
If you notice, the NCLB act is a mimick of this concept. Like I mentioned before, hopefully this act is the stepping stone to eliminate public schools all together and rather embrace the concept of charter schools.
I should mention that the idea of charter schools relies on the concept of capitalism. You pay your taxes to the school of your choice.
ok aside from all the talk about NCLB act. You can not tell me that you are happy the way he handled the whole hurricane katrina thing.

It was local officials' fault more than his.
Yes, the state must request help from the national level, which they took forever to do. Bush had to verbally supportidly force many of the important decisions that the state was lazy to make.
AND THE FREAKING SCHOOL BUSES

HEAR you out, you mean? Bud, you just said you had a great education, and you couldn't even use a dinky little four-letter word correctly?
And the Katrina thing? That was the fault of the federal AND state government. The CANADIANS got to some parts of Louisiana before the feds did!
We won this; we have at least 5 debate points which no one has fully nullified
school are overworked and bush cutting budgets have caused this
This combination causes teachers to be pissed and students not able to keep up from being overworked.
I have been in home school and public school for high school, junior high and, elementary so i know what im talking bout
We should have also pulled out of iraq years ago and focused spending on the hurricanes; not this dombass war with no point(or end)
Im just happy bush can't run again because my parents and every parent she knows would vote for him again so he would be president again(it be closer than before though)
the point of this all is bush sucks balls in more ways than one and dosn't deserve to be president and his work is gonna take decades to finally fix
so TY GOD that he isn't president in the next election and finally an actually worthy presedent can come in and help our contry reapir from the pathetic rule of the empty-minded bush
and remeber chris you can't debate with all of your "facts" because it had no proof nor with opinions. We have proof of what he said. You have nothing.
the fact is bush is pathetic and should be out of office right now
(edited for readibility)
Cheeze: Please, learn how to type before making such a claim.
Verbal warning: Don't post like this again.
The fact that you can't spell/type voids you of sharing any opinion at all.
Also, at least 5 debate points which no one nullified? Where?
Every point you mentioned I already covered.
Apparently your reading comprehension is reflected by your english and grammar.
edit after CheeZe's edit: Why did you fix his grammar? If he wants to give the appearance of a dumb retard, let him.
Because this is serious discussion. If you want me to delete it, I would; except that he would just complain again. Seriously, if any member sees that someone had to EDIT just to let others read it, it's pretty obvious the problem was big.
wow, that rant a couple posts above mine is similar to the rant against Wesmic when he back stabbed a player during a funny melee game. the rant goes like this:
QUOTE
YOU FUDGIN JERK YOU MAD MAH COMP FREEZE YUO FRICKIN GOD I HAT YOU
It was so funny I almost remembered it word for word.....!!!
Anyways, we should never have gone to Iraq FOR THE REASON WE WENT. We went to Iraq to get rid of nukes THAT NEVER EXISTED.
Then, we screwed up security by dismantling the Iraqi Army. Big mistake. Should have converted them into security forces but NO. DO YOU KNOW WHO HELPS GREATLY WITH THE RESISTANCE? FORMER IRAQI SOLDIERS.
mmm, the resistance is merely terrorist organizations occuping Iraq, I mean if they are the resistance then why are they blowing up their own people? Also, we (meaning you and me) cannot prove or disprove the existance of WMDs (which could include nukes but I highly doubt it)
The Iraq army was pretty corrupt to begin with, they collapsed before the war was even over...... Plus, we are already converting formar Iraq soldiers.....jeez
Like Basan said, you first have to prove that there are WMD's before you ask us to disprove them. Burden of Proof.
Hey Bush supporters anyone checked Bush's approval rating?
ok this is coming from my friend these 3 reasons why bush is a crappy president. Now, keep in mind that he supported Bush both times :
Reasons why Bush is a crappy president :
1: Harriet Miers and John Bolton
2: Hurricane Crap
3: Crappy Managment of War
Harriet Miers has a twisted sense of of power.
Ban abortion, and create a law that states that people who support the ban, cannot take office?
WTF?
You cannot stop nature. But his poor response to the disaster is pathetic.
I agree with that, but you need to show proof of how he has had "crappy" management. Seems to me like he is managing it well, just didn't have a strategy to begin with.
Crappy management of our economy should be the one your friend should be worrying about
Edit: Added the words, who are
Although you people may not like Bush, he was still voted in as our president for two terms. He has stopped more threats of terrorism against our country than you may know. Complaining about him all day long isnt going to help anything, if you people are far more superior than Bush, then I want to see you run for president, and never make a mistake.
