I've played FF7, Tactics Advanced, 9, and 10.

I've loved 7. 7 was superb except not the best I've played. Tactics Advanced is probably one of the most FF games ever. 9 has to be my favorite on the PS. I didn't like 10 mainly because of the characters. Their battle system was good though.

4/5 stars.

A mysterious press release from Nintendo today teases that a message detailing the Wii launch date may be hidden within its text. Now, as the release says, it may all be a rouse to get us to read about Nintendo's other games, but we just can't help ourselves.

The release reads: "Perhaps the secret to the launch information for Wii is somehow encoded in the text of this news item.

What we can tell after a good thirty seconds or so of scrutiny is that a game is releasing every Monday except October 2, November 20, and November 27. Nintendo has hinted that the Wii would launch sooner than later, so that points to... October 2nd?

Separate rumors have suggested that Nintendo could be planning to launch Wii directly after the Tokyo Game Show, which takes place in late September.

Of course, none of this is confirmed, but that shouldn't stop you from speculating.

I'm really hoping IGN knows what they're talking about. Doesnt leave me much time to save up for the wii blink.gif

My birthday is in October after the 2nd so I don't want it to come out on the 2nd. November 20th would be fine though tongue.gif

QUOTE(Tor Thorsen @ GameSpot)
For better or worse, World of Warcraft continues to dominate the PC gaming market. But while nearly 7 million people play Blizzard Entertainment's massively multiplayer online role-playing game, many gamers are wondering if the developer is planning future efforts in the genre that made it a household name--real-time strategy.

Blizzard's first big RTS hit was Warcraft: Orcs and Humans in 1994, followed by Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness in 1995 and the Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal expansion in 1996. The company enjoyed even greater success with Starcraft (1998), Starcraft: Brood War (1998), and Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (2002). However, since Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne was released in 2003, the developer has steered clear of RTS games, focusing on the successful WOW and the now-indefinitely postponed Starcraft: Ghost.

This week, though, the myriad Blizzard RTS fans got some good news, courtesy of a job posting on the official Blizzard Web site. The company is now currently accepting resumes for the position of "Level Designer" with "experience building levels using any popular 3D Real-Time Strategy game toolset." (Emphasis added.) Candidates must have "experience creating levels in [a] 3D RTS game toolset" such as those used in Rise of Legends, Command & Conquer, and--drum roll--Warcraft III.

While the job posting appears to be proof positive that Blizzard is working on a new RTS game--which some speculate is Starcraft II--reps for the Vivendi-owned studio weren't tipping their hand. "We have some unannounced projects in development," a rep told GameSpot, "and we'll be revealing more information about those at a later date."
Please God, let this be StarCraft 2.
Do you think they're going for SC2, WC4, or some other crazy project?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Cloud on 2006-08-02 at 22:08:03
Truthfully I don't want a SC2 for 2 reasons. They'll probably make the map editor like the WC3 ones(which will be a female dog for me).

2. My comp probably wont be able to run it. It can hardly run WC3.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by xMCx on 2006-08-02 at 22:11:22
Starcraft 2 better be good because it will attract alot of SC players.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Desperado on 2006-08-02 at 22:12:20
Does it really matter what the game is? No matter what it is you won't be able to run it.
