pray more that it doesnt look like wc3
I'd like to see something grittier with less jagged polygons. WC3 is all corners and sharp edges.
We can only hope for SC2. I'm really ready to move away from 1.14.
I'll let this one slide because it isn't technically a sc2 speculation topic, although it IS a double topic.
A diablo rts would be akward.
Blizzard was never known for ingame graphical prowess. Nothing that they have ever looked particularly stunning (except their cinematics of course).
I've really enjoyed all the WarCrafts and, needless to say, StarCraft and Brood War. I won't mind even if they do come out with WarCraft IV. However, it's almost assuredly going to be StarCraft II. It's about damn time, isn't it?

I'm glad I've managed to bypass the intense scrutiny and logical abilities of an eight year old.
Diablo RTS would be sweet. Humans. Demons. And.. the evil Protoss invaders! It'll be just like WoW. Blizzard will have managed to include the Protoss in all their games. Diablo is the only one left they must infect.

Huh?
*Voyager7456(MM) prays with everything he has for a StarCraft 2
Although a while ago (year or two?), Blizzard was hiring 3D RTS level designers, the SC2 speculation started (as it always does), and nothing seemed to come of it.
But then again, at least they confirmed the existance of an unannounced project, which they didn't do last time.

I really don't like your reasoning. If you read my topic I didn't necessarily come out announcing SC2, that was just my hopeful speculation. I asked the question of what you may think the next project is in the topic. The only thing that differs the two threads is that mine had SC2 in the title and his didn't. Which I honestly don't think is enough to shut one down and keep one up. Even if my thread was openly discussing StarCraft 2, it's not like there's an overabundance of SC2 threads at the moment to warrant you closing it. I'm not suggesting mine be opened up again, because this one's already picked up steam. I'd just like to point out your flaw.
But enough of me being critical, I should really get back on topic. As Shmidley pointed out to me the line of Blizzard's games really indicates that their next project would probably being RTS, since they're not really a company to create the same product twice in a row. And since Ghost is currently in development hell you'd expect they'd continue the StarCraft story.

Key RTS things, no?
I'm happy that it's going to stay on B.net. That means online will be free. I was sortof question whether they realized how much people were willing to pay for online play.
As we've seen StarCraft hardcore-ers would pay anything. Those are some interesting thnigs thar Voyager, I guess I'll get in on praying with you. Praying that they've been listening to the communities suggestions.
Nintendo has marketing schemes almost as good as Valve. Them and their free weekends. Crap, I forgot Red Orchestra was going on now. Boy that sucks. I missed the first day of it.

I really don't think any game company could get away with making an RTS that has a monthly fee. How much new content could you possibly add to an RTS that's worth paying for? WoW on the other hand has got to have ridiculously high maintenance costs, and they are constantly adding an absurd amount of new content. New zones, new dungeons, new features. It's exciting.
I don't play WoW, so I don't know what they do. B.net must have some maitenance cost, because they use it to distribute new patches and they have 24/7 tech support.
If they added new races it would be worth paying for.
How would adding new races make it worth playing monthly for? Adding new races at all seems like an extremely bad thing to do. What has it done for WC3? The undead are basically the zerg, the night elves are basically the Protoss... then you have the humans and the orcs who are both basically terrans. The only reason they have four races is because they couldn't take Humans or Orcs out.
screw warcraft it better be a starcraft.

Doubt it. Time for some good old.. Diablo RTS.

Yep Id rather see Diablo RTS than SC 2 or WC VVVV. SC 2 wont be as good as SC 1 for thoes map makers definatly not, and the graphics will probablly be some new "high tech" polygon where the edges will be sharper than ever... Seriously leave SC alone, dont make it be some gay game XD. Id actually like to see Diablo 3, where its the Diablo 2 style but its like Guild Wars with Diablo theme... Eh I made myself sound all weird, im trying to say I hope they make Diablo 3 and make it like Guild Wars but with Diablo theme, and different

that would totally own.
It would be awesome if they keep the SC graphic, but make all the units like extremly detailed and more bloods, and more effects and etc. And terrains actually go up and down and shadowing is better, but keep the 2d3 type of feeling.
Im going to buy the Wii Orchestra thing

I can wave my nun chuck and that other wii thingy to make sounds. How fun...
No but seriously whats the release games? Im not buying until Wii has a price drop, and atleast until SSMB comes out. And you dont really need to save up so much for a Wii its 250... expect games cost 60, little odd but thats how much development cost I guess.
Nintendo said it would be under $250, not it would be. And analysts predict that it will launch at $200. And Wii games aren't being
$60. The reason 360 and PS3 games are going to be is because they have more techonology, so it takes larger teams to fully flesh out the technology. Larger teams means more salaries to pay. This means higher development costs. The Wii isn't nearly as powerful, so there will be no need for teams as large.

From IGN.com
I'm really hoping IGN knows what they're talking about.
Doesnt leave me much time to save up for the wii

I hope that the Wii is coming so soon. I'm all pumped up for it. Also, you don't have to save much, It's gonna be around $200 to $250 from what I hear.
Hay I just noticed something. Remember starcraft beta how all the units were all blocky and big maybe thats how the next starcraft could be like because blizzard said they couldnt continue that design because you need a good computer to run that version but who knows, since now most people have good mac and windows computer they could make it that way again but then could be a myth.
But I have a feeling that its just another warcraft game as seeing warcraft III of 2002 then proboly 2007 is warcaft IV or whatever. Just hope that this project doesnt get scrapped.
I pray that it is Starcraft 2, and that we don't have to pay for online play. Also, for anyone who played WC3:ROF (Reign of Chaos), Remember that night elf mission (I think it was #2)? You could get a hydralisk in that level to show what SC would look like of WC engines. I hope it looks like that. It would look awesome. The Hydra was actually BIG (like it is supposed to be), and it also looks like NEEDLE SPINES, not acid spit from a mouth.
