Well I didn't read the full context of what was going on. I just noticed you mentioning that you got punished for trying to be 'right', and that I've observed that trying to be 'right' on forums is traditionally pretty useless.

Anyway I haven't played or seen CD so I can't judge on its system or anything, but whether it works well or not at this stage is unimportant. It's important that it gets finished at all, really, or else it might as well have not even been started in the first place.

*Mini Moose 2707 deletes a LOT of posts.

That has a lot to do with Crescent Dyne. Are you guys done?

Attention: If you post anything along the lines of "How's the map going?", "When is the release date?", "Any new updates?", "Stay on topic!", "Don't ask when the release date is!", "This map looks good!" or anything like this, kiss it goodbye, because it will be removed.
This thread has quite enough of this sort of thing already.

Yes, we know you like it.
No, there isn't a release date.
If something important happens, I'm sure WoodenFire will let you know.

Wooden, using a calculator, I believe the total triggers should be at 45%. Unless I missed a number. Sounds should be at 30%. Terrain should be at 85%. Of course those are just averages, it does not take into account of how large a particular part is.

Gosh, you people get so intricately complex and harsh towards each other when confronted.

I figure you enjoy it or something. blink.gif

Hey Wooden, i've been meaning to ask you

but im too lazy to go to the PM thing. so....
why do Kenoli and Devilesk hate CD???? are they jealous or something?
i kept asking Devilesk why it sucks (in fact, you we're there XD) but he kept giving me the moron reply "DUDE! BECAUSE IT SUCKS!" care to shine alittle light wooden?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Felagund on 2006-07-26 at 15:27:56
Devilesk is one of those dirty little secrets SEN would like to forget. Just take whatever he says well salted. It's been like four months since I signed on to do the dialogue, and I've not done any work so far. I'm sure Wooden will get around to the story once he gets bored playing stupidly-named games on Diablo 2 (such as "Swrd of Scrge 4 Demon Helm +3!!1!").

I only play D2 on my break from working on CD, and you know that... ;D

Update
• Spawning System Almost Complete
• Equipment Statistic Imput Beginning
• Recent MEBS Testing Reveals Flawless Preformance
• Custom Music Nearing Completion

On a side note, due to the incident of Devilesk, even though it may be one of our buggiest versions to date, the leak of the game into his hands has resulted in the banning of testers and makers from transfering files via SEN and severely limiting the testing circle to just a very few select testers.

A leak? Oh, sounds scandalous. Kenoli doesn't hate CD. Maybe his comments may leave that impression, but not to me...

I don't hate CD, but I'm not falling over myself to get it, either.

w/e its all comming together, no need to worry, i just was at Taylor's house listening to the music he made, and it is for a lack of a better sappy word: Beautiful. The music is so impressive that i actually had slightly lower expectations, but you will all sh*t urselves explosively when u hear it... Im serious. Like propel you through your ceiling explosive. biggrin.gif

I heard the 2 sample records. I liked one of them very much, and didn't like the other... it had too much modern style in it... like drums.

Recent MEBS Testing Reveals Flawless Preformance

How can you tell if it is flawless? How do you know if you put it through every possible condition? I want an explanation on that one.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by WoodenFire on 2006-07-31 at 00:54:45
It has been through all of the conditions that we will put it through in Crescent Dyne. We have tested enemy movements, spawn cycling, status catchup, effects, real-time stat changing, everything works as it is supposed to do.

There are alot of restrictions with MEBS that we know of, including the 21 target max. We already have systems inplace designed to handle overflows and problems. We have done many tests, there are no flaws in the system. It works exactly how we would like it to have preformed.

You need not concern in the matter anyways. It is all under control and MEBS is ready for its next steps torwards integration with the other systems like equiping items, morality, and other pieces to the larger puzzle which is Crescent Dyne's battle engine and parent systems.

As of now, I have begain construction of an offical Crescent Dyne website. I am transfering tons of information onto the site and making it look as professional as I can with a free website without using coding, for I know none.

It looks quite good, and within the week, the main post will be replaced with a single large banner redirecting you to the website.

Thankyou for your patience on the project everyone. I know it has been a long haul. Don't forget, you've been just reading and waiting, ive been working on the map for the entire time.

Boss Demo map will be available within the week thanks to Lethal and the Music has been moving along quite fast and hope to get all of the 15+ loops within a period of 2 weeks or less.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by dumbducky on 2006-07-31 at 15:50:52
That somes insane testing.

Hurry with that demo, everyone is waiting for it anxiously.

As for the website, I'm sure you could fine someone on SEN willing to do it for you. I'd do it, but my HTML is basic and I know no other kinds of internet coding.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by WoodenFire on 2006-07-31 at 17:59:27
Actually, i am just fine doing the website myself thankyou very much.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DoomGaze on 2006-07-31 at 22:08:34
This project has apparently lost most of its inital momentum, as you made this thread back when production was just started, or at least past the brainstorming stage (I'm assuming this). Although you don't see people pop in the thread everyday and post, "I can't wait until this map is finished," I'll admit that I am surprised that you're still pushing for completion in this map.

For that, I'll say good job.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Felagund on 2006-08-01 at 21:02:32
Wooden, I think that we would all like to know how the recent patch will affect Crescent Dyne, if at all.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Lethal_Illusion on 2006-08-01 at 21:06:59
The only thing changed from the patch is the Force names (lost their color).
Report, edit, etc...Posted by dumbducky on 2006-08-01 at 21:09:54
EUD conditions were scrambled, and they were using virtual HP, correct?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Lethal_Illusion on 2006-08-01 at 22:18:22
As I said before, the only thing that changed on CD was the force names (color changed to green). This map didn't have any EUD Conditions or anything, so nothing got scrambled.
