Are any of you arabs by chance?
You all did a good job of making the buildings become engulfed in flames.

Uncalled for, let's try to not use racist comments like that here. Even if you are joking.
I don't believe I broke any rules Chu—all I asked was if anyone was Arab.
First you ask if they are Arabs, THEN you comment on them doing a good job of making buildings on fire.
Sounds like a direct insult to Arabs to me.
To me he is asking if anyone is arabs for the church thing, and then he just compliments the other people on their buildings.
And do tell if you want inside or outside of the church.

Ok, let's drop the racism nonsense please. That's not what I implied by mentioning a church terrain.
As for the church, I mean an interior. The theme I had it kinda odd, as you go from the depths of a tech base into a clean, bright church, where you face the final boss. Can't think of a good way to make a good church.
I started my Church, But it sucks. It's a nice concept.. i took a screenshot in starforge So there's no flames on the torches. So i copied and pasted flames from a different screen shot and pasted them, Everything else is not touched or edited. I had no idea for an alter to i made 2 little water shrines. and you can spice it up however you want, i know you just wanted the terrain for an idea.

That's pretty impressive Boneless, no offense to Theoretical Human, but much more impressive and inventive than his.
Reasons Why:
- Tileset; looks much better than Twilight.
- Angle; horizontal as opposed to vertical.
- Placement; Torches are über-licious.
- Overall, it is just more attractive and has the aura of a church and/or temple.
Great work Boneless, I'm impressed.
Yeah it does look good. If I can't find a way to make it non-dirt, I might use that.
I don't consider the twilight church my best. Anyways, awesome stuff, but it''s a bit awkward to use in ISOM. Still, good stuff.
Well if i tried harder to instead of making it fit the RUSH game terrain, i could spice it up and add units and doodads and all that spiffy jazz to make it into hall of fame. But it needed to be versital for the dafiler and stupid probe for Player 2.
I'm thinking inbetween the chairs and stands having eggs as those spawn thingies... So when you're fighint boss you have units floowing out of eggs alot like guantlent legends.. Which just hit me, this is looking very much like guantlent legends tux.... Churchy temple.... Boss, other things i won't say so i don't spoil the game.
Bad idea; no villain, no matter how evil, is
ever allowed to enter a church—much less fight in one. That is totally against the rules.

Have the church be some sort of sanctuary.
Well then you're making up rules, and you've never played Guantlent Legends. Most evil people try to take over the good... Isn't that wat evil is, almost every evil things occurs in a good place.
Church's are sanctuaries... like base while playing tag.
I thought it was universal knowlegde, until now.
Wrong church. It's just a nice, clean, shiny church interior. Leave the details of its implementation to me (spawns, etc.).
Hmm, what's a good way to make a stain glass window?
That was a really kick ass sky shift did...

Tux, now you're just pusing Starcraft up and over its limits. This is what happened to A&O, don't do taht same for RUSH
I don't consider visual effects much in the way of pushing limits, except those of sprites or lag maybe. If I intended A&O to be only a gunner map like I did before, then I might have been able to pull it off (which is basically what rush is anyway). Instead, I wanted to do everything from commanding forces by proxy, using chain-able spells, transforming betwean units, a new system of summoning "droids" to help, and of course, the gunner system itself.
Obviously this alone was pushing SC, not to mention the trigger system's lag and the player limit in implementing HP for the gunner system. But the real bitch was in the form of the P12 dark swarm/disruption web issue, which totally hobbled my whole gunner and spell casting systems completly. I would have been fine to pain myself to remove them, but I'd already built up a good amount of the story over these elements, so I couldn't do that either. Modding was the only solution, but because modding would make it unplayable on regular bnet, that wouldn't work either. Hence, I cancelled it for Starcraft, seeing as how I'd rather just make a new game for it instead.
That's the nutshell of it.
Let us know when you've started A&O... I'd like to see the tileset you've come up with and the characters, since you'll be doing everything from scratch, which i think is way better.
I will. I'm so very tempted by W3 to do it, but I don't know how I'd implement the mass armies without hugo lago.
Haveing Huge armies and controling them and telling them strategically where to attack is already giving me ideas for a great map... I'd like to make it a map as that itself, but then it would be stealing

Always follow your heart. But set one rule in doing so: Follow through, or not at all.
*ehem*, ok yeah, I'm out of cool terrain ideas. Would still like to see someone make a nudist colony, for kicks.

Here's a bad way to make a stain glass window...it's hard...
I could see possibly adding some traps, and one of the big signs. It wouldn't look too great though. I really like the trees you used, it makes it almost seem like cracked stone.
