but some people were trapped in their homes because of the flood, and people in choppers came and rescued some.....even if they were rude, i'd thank them for saving me
Report, edit, etc...Posted by TheDaddy0420 on 2005-11-04 at 01:29:27
yea, but it all boils down to the state requesting assistance at the National level, please don't think that states are completely helpless, they have their own armies for gosh sakes.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Do-0dan on 2005-11-04 at 01:32:50
maybe bush let new orleans have 3 days to react to the disaster and then he finally sent in help because they were going nowhere
Report, edit, etc...Posted by TheDaddy0420 on 2005-11-04 at 01:37:03
Or in 3 days the state found it was going no where and officially requested for assistance.

all other presidents terrorism grew while they lead our country justfully, Clinton had the first world trade center bombings that yea, you geussed it, were on Amercian soil.

Pardon me? The World Trade Center bombings were under the Bush administration. They have done almost nothing to combat terror abroad since. Maybe they created more cops at home to make us feel safe, but according to him he "doesn't care where [Osama] is". We left him cornered and turned him over to local warlords to go annex Iraq. What had Iraq done to us? Nothing. They had never killed an American noncombatant citizen, attacked America, or threatened to attack America.

QUOTE
Oh and about Kitrina, in the constitution - Article 10, our national government had no right to come in and help with Kitrina if the state did not request for help.  States are constitutionally suppose to protect and serve themselfs, this way our government cannot be too tyrannical, they didn't want to have another tyrannical government in power like before (Britian).

Our government totally knew Kitrina hit, Bush totally knew, it did not take him 3 days to figure it out, that is a flat out lie.  States must request for assistance in which then the state's national gaurd becomes federalized, and so on and so on.  Don't biznatch to Bush, Bush is an idiot for going to Iraq and causing  ALOT of debt, but this one takes the cake, Yell at the govener, oh ya and the major of new orleans, they are the ones who messed up, school buses any one?

Local authorities requested assistance two days before Katrina hit. It was the feds responsibility. And it was Bush, mind you, not the governor of Louisiana, that sent half the Louisiana National Guard's high water vehicles to Iraq.

funny how all of these bad things are happening to a christian..
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DT_Battlekruser on 2005-11-05 at 00:50:56
Religion has zero to do with it. It is simply Bush's utter lack of ability to be a good president. Amazing how he is utterly wrecking our continental relations. Heard of the riots in Argentina and Uruguay?

You are utterly and completely wrong about the world trade center bombings, the first were under Clinton, this just shows how smart people like you are.

QUOTE
On February 26, 1993 at 12:17 PM, a Ryder truck filled with 1,500 pounds (682 kilograms) of explosives was planted by terrorists and detonated in the underground garage of the north tower, opening a 30m hole through 4 sublevels of concrete. Six people were killed and over a thousand injured.

Six Islamist extremist conspirators were convicted of the crime in 1997 and 1998 and given prison sentences of 240 years each. According to a presiding judge, the conspirators chief aim at the time of the attack was to de-stabilize the north tower and send it crashing into the south tower, toppling both landmarks.

To commemorate the bombing of the tower, a reflecting pool was installed with the names of those who had been killed in the blast. Following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, relief workers found a single fractured piece of this fountain; to date it is the only remaining part of the 1993 memorial that survived the collapse of the towers.

Local authorities eh? So if you were a cop and requested assistance from the national government do you honestly think they will hear your cry? It takes the states represenatives, govener, major, those types of people to get the message sent. You don't know much about how our government works do you?

If you think the President of Jefferson Parish [county] shouldn't be listened to, then you're just stupid.

Sorry, I thought you were referring to the planes.

Again, same debate, he tells the govener > govener tells the federal government.

I know more about fighting terrorists and most of the terrorist history then most SEN people on this forum. And I obviously don't care if I can spell words correctly or not as long as my message is taken in and understood.

Almost? Hell, I get warned for subtle things like that.

Hmm.. Egotism?

PROVE to us that you "know" more about terrorist history than us.

Well, nvm. You might google it all and plagurise it and call it your own.

Can you prove against it?

No one can prove the real reason we are in Iraq, because the truth is hidden from the people by everything.

If you think what your government tells you is true, you had better double think what they say.

Then you ought to know that annexing Iraq did nothing to further the war on terror. If anything, it made it worse.

Simple logic, you diverte the attention of the terrorists from the continental U.S. to Iraq, thus protecting american civilians in our home country. But I think Bush could have protected America differently while still using offensive tactics.

Personal attacks? I see no personal attacks in my reply to you.

And there is nothing I can prove against you, because you "know" all this. You're the super uber leet master of terrorism! Great job!

You probibly googled half of it, to try to make you seem more intelligent then the other members here.

2,801 American civilian lives are worth 2,056 American military personell, and over 100,000 innocent Iraqi civilian deaths (approx. 30,000 of which were caused by American intervention that wouldn't have happened under Saddam)?

War is hell, what do you expect?

Either way people are going to die, war or no war, terrorist will kill us, we can't just sit back and relax with defenses. People are going to die, and Im sorry but the majority will NOT be us.

Soo... why invade Iraq instead of going after terrorists?

Don't get me wrong, I supported going into Afghanistan.

Iraq has oil, duuhhhh!!!! /sarcasm

Thats why I said in a previous post that Bush could have picked a better target.

Plus I think Saddam sold his WMDs to Syria.

That is the most idiotic answer anyone on this forum has EVER given to answer why bush went into Iraq and has lost over 2000 military personel.

QUOTE
"Let us kill off young american men, so we can get richer! Hell yeah!"

Also Kellimus, a quote for you about that.
"In Peace Sons bury their Fathers, In War Fathers bury their Sons."

I agreed with going into Afghanistan, but going into Iraq was a stupid move on bush's part. He only picked that target because A) He knew most of Iraq didn't want Saddam in power, so an overthrow was going to be easy, and B) He did the most crimes against Humanity, so it would be easy to legitimise his conquest.

Please provide sources on the WMD's to Syria.

In my personal opinion, even though I love America... if it keeps going on this course, there is no way it will see its 300th birthday.
