Now I'm really glad I pulled out of this contest. I just hit the string limit yesterday, and the map is still barely playable. It's more humuliating to drop out of a contest right before it ends.
So...are you going to need my e-mail so you can send me the maps to judge? Considering my time, I might take as long as Wednesday to give in my judging results for all the RPGs submitted, depending on how much participants there are.

Well since only 3 maps have been submitted and i was hoping for 5 maps i guess will be canceled all minerals which were dontated will be return to you very soon. I guess people didnt really notice this contest. *sigh* Well it was a big failure.
Anywoot thank you to those whom did enter and those whom tryed to get a map done i wish you luck in map making.
I guess im out, cant be bothered posting much more so mah may see me here and there on here but not often as i use to be.

Oh well, at least I started on a map good enough that I have no choice but to finish (it'd be a waste of two months of work if I just cancelled it

WTF!? Cancelled!? don't cancel it mog, i submitted my map at 11:57am so you got 4 maps, and there are 3 places. Why not still judge it? I mean i worked hard this 2 last days for the map i finished it 15 mins before i sent it to you, come on, who knows what will happen?

I don't see why this should be cancelled either. I have my demo posted and I sent it out in the email. I hope to arrived where it should have. It is sad to see that you only received 3 maps, but at least judge those that DID get it in on time. I don't really care about the minerals, its the feedback I really want.

Yep, on friday all I had was a simple enemy system, no inventory system, and only the begining of the quest system, Terrainwise I only had the main landscape (no building insides / trees, its still pretty good stuff though)
Even though I didn't manage to make it to the contest I'm going to finish this up, probably make it better now that I have more time as well... Meh.

Haha. Moogle should host a second RPG Mapping Contest due to popular request, despite the lack of success from the first one. I'm sure it'll get alot more attention from the front page. And a longer date. Of course, since we're all already working on an RPG, it should be called 'Finish the RPG Contest' instead. I'm sure that will motivate some people to dust off their own RPG maps and attempt to finish them again.

Well, I could also chip in again, since I never really have any use for minerals. I'm sure others would do the same. Anyways, virtue is its own reward. What's better than the fame you get from creating some awesome RPG map that mostly everyone likes?
But if you are making another RPG contest, wait until someone comes out with a 3rd party editor that support maps that went over the string limit and won't scrambe the strings.

Not a bad idea, I'm positive you can get all of us to pitch in again, since many of us made this contest a huge flop(points at himself
). And anyway I'm willing to donate my resources to help, so I find it a good idea so think about it.~Tdnfthe1
