someone tried to hack it which was a stupid idea, because it wasn't finished...
But in the chat room it says: Made By GgG-M.k.russ. in BReif it says that...3 times
On the map it says his name at the beginning, When you win you see his name. And so many other things. It's was kind of funny how many times his name appeared on the map

Yes, I'm aware of that. But replacing the names, and changing the gameplay are 2 different things, which was what I was talking about. If I feel the need to add in our names through terrain or other methods I will, but right now I don't think any of that extra stuff is necessary.
What part are you up to now on map Killer?

*Yawn* Would be nice if anyone ever asked me anything about the map, its always directed at Killer..... Anyways... its kind of playable right now, Killer is coding all the basics on the map, once he gets most of the triggerwork done Im going to complete the terrain on the first map-theres nothing but polishing up to do on it now. And the second map is well underway terrain-wise.

The old terrian (Also known as the terrian for FF7 World: 1a) and make a red circle on how big Shrina HQ will be. With all that extra space you got for starting another map gave you much more room to make it bigger correct?

For those of you who are going to map night... You're in for a real treat! I'm going to be hosting a preview of what I have in FF7 World so far. It'll basically show you the snazzy introduction, how random battles work, magic casting, limit breaks and items as well. So set your calendars or something, cause this is a one time only sneak peak.

Well, right now only p1 has triggers, so p2/p3 are just observers. So if you wanna be able to actually try it out for yourself, you can just host your own game and play as p1.
It would be fair if you put up a download here. You know, not everyone's coming to Map Night.

Then that defeats the whole purpose of me previewing it at map night. The idea here is to get people excited about coming to map night. If you can't make it to map night, then tough luck
This way it won't allow as many people to preview it as apposed if I were to just post it up here. To be honest, I didn't even wanna show it at all until it's completed, but I feel like I owe you guys something for dragging this topic on for so long without a release yet.

Ok guys, so how was map night? For those of you who saw the preview, let me know what you think of it. Tell any suggestions you might have or any questions you didn't get to ask me... I want some input so I can make it even better.
Edit: Well, I guess I'm gonna be nice and upload it for the people who couldn't make it to map night... Here's my little treat to you!
Note: Play it in Slot 1 by yourself in a password protected game. Slot 2/3 are just observer slots for now, I haven't begun coding those players yet... If you play with others it might lag and cause the sound to not flow with the events of the intro.

Yeah basically all the preview was for was the show you the introduction, how random battles will occur, and how magic system/limit breaks will work. You can't go into the reactor, and Wedge doesn't say anything yet.
But now I'm currently coding the sequence after the Guard Scorpion battle, the action starts picking up from here and the map is already fun. I just hope I can finish it without any stupid errors, it's gonna take a TON of triggers, and I'm hoping I don't hit that dreaded string limit.
if not we can always do FF7 World part 1a.1 and 1a.2

Just wondering, will monster have random special moves? like ShinRa Soldier, like not using just his machine gun goes in close range for a uh close range blow wif his melee weapon. kinda thing? Or just no special or skills or different moves for other units other then bosses.
Well, for the most part no, basic monsters will only have their attacks. But some monsters that are rather unique like Hell House might have some other moves. It just all depends on what I'm left with when I finish running through the map... As far as locations, strings, units etc.
As for an update, I'm currently at the part where you finally get to Sector 7. You meet Tifa (p3) here and it's the first place you can buy items/materia and sleep at an INN. Still got a ways to go since I'm coding it for every player combination with p1 since p1 will be required in order to play.
Hey Killer nice preview. One suggestion would be to mute the unit responses when you click on em. For me, it takes a way a little bit of the atmosphere when Cloud keeps saying, I do this for Aiur. etc.
