ABout the Iraqi death count... I didn't know it was that bad, I thought it was 100,000 (which is still unacceptable).

But anyways, most of these deaths are accidental. REAL insurgents dont want to kill the civillians, because real insurgent are civillians up in arms. So dont blame the insurgents.

But blame terrorists. THEY kill civillians on purpose. So dont get Insurgent and Terrorist mixed up.

one in the same people to me. They both strap explosives to themselfs. They both blow up civilian targets. Their agenda is to hurt other humans and terrorize. They both have no plan for the future.

I see where you are coming from but like it or not they are the same people. Insurgents today have launched multiple attacks today against Ambassadors from other countries. 2 escaped and 1 was kidnapped. I believe that shows what the insurgent's true agenda is, nothing. They have no plan for the future of Aphganistan or Iraq, all they want to do is kill nonbelievers.

Then unfortunately, those insurgents will go to hell for twisting Islam.

But is over 200,000 deaths worth democracy?

No, it isn't

It has not been 200,000 disgust.gif

It has been 22,787 to 25,814. Thats still terrible, but thats what freedom and democracy cost, do you think America lost less then that for our freedom through history?

They are already free. They became free when we took Sadam out of power. Now we are over there forcing (not saying it's a bad thing to do) Democracy onto Iraq.

And in the Revolutionary War, I don't think we lost that much cause I don't think we had that many Americans (Not sure though and i'm to busy to research it. I'm at work) But I know we used gorrila tactics and stuff....

Ya, we had militias harass the supply line of the british forces while General Washington was escaping/running for his life with his army. Ya, General Washington is a very good general, but towards the begining of the war he was forced to retreat SO many times.

Im not only talking about the revolutionary war. Im talking about all the conflicts that threatened our freedom through history. smile.gif

Well Iraqis have never had freedom before, you can't just say this is just one occurance becuase the Iraqi are going to have a whole new future ahead of them where they will have to defend their freedom. Just like America and thats what I was tyring to get at.

whats really stupid though is the amount of innocent civilians that have been killed
Civilians reported killed by military intervention in Iraq :
Min .......... Max
22787.......... 25814
no one pays atterntion to those numbers, but guess what! theyre people too!

The ignorance of idiots. As of Nov 2004, min was 84,000 and max was 184,000 civillian deaths in Iraq.

John Kerry said that there are three rationales to this War in Iraq. First one being the threat of WMD; second one being the push for democracy; the Last one being combat over the terrorist hotbed.

I don't really trust figures anymore now. I have seen civilian death tolls around 250,000 and civilian death tolls around 6,000 and 23,000......even 100,000. Too many numbers......no trend besides that they are all death tolls.

I wouldn't have trusted them in the first place. The media lies about everything now days, so they can look like the one that is, "On top of things"

Bush isn't that bad of a guy. He's done better than what some idiotic presidents in our past would've done. I bet hoover would've just nuked the whole middle east.

Hoover would be doing pretty much the same thing. (Considering he had very close connections to the most powerful thing in the world. Oil companies) Not help out the poor much, and I doubt he would nuke the hell out of Iraq. I doubt any president would, except for me. Oh man, I would kill soooooooooooooooooooooo many people. I love being right wing sometimes. It's so deliciously evil. devil.gif

We don't have any presidents who are that dumb, not even Bush. Because we know if we did that, that would break the treaties that all the nations made back in the day (Yeah there is an international treaty against using nuclear arms) and then everyone would be against us.

"Ok obviously you republicans on here are very ignorant and brainwashed by something so let me just put this out there.

Reasons why Bush is an idiot:

1. Poverty is increasing. After decreasing for eight straight years and reaching its lowest level in 25 years, the poverty rate increased from 11.3 percent in 2000 to 11.7 percent in 2001. In the first year of the Bush administration, 1.3 million Americans slipped back into poverty, with a total of 32.9 million Americans living in poverty in 2001.

2. Job creation has reversed. In 2000, the year before President Bush took office, the economy created 1.7 million new jobs. This trend has been reversed, and the economy has lost almost 1.5 million jobs since President Bush took office in January 2001.

3. The stock market has crashed more since George W Bush took office than any other president in history, including the great crash of Herbert Hoover in 1929. Actually, since Bush took office the market has gone down TWICE what it did at the beginning of the Great Depression.

4. The crime rate is increasing. In 2000, the year before President Bush took office, the crime rate reached its lowest level since 1972. This represented the culmination of a 22 percent decrease in crime during the 1990s.

5. The federal budget deficit is increasing. In 2000, the year before President Bush took office, the federal budget, excluding Social Security, showed a surplus of $86.6 billion. The most recent figures from the Congressional Budget Office indicate that for FY 2002, the federal budget, excluding Social Security, will show a deficit of $314 billion.

And those are just a FEW reasons." this is not my quote i just found it on a nother forum and wanted to see what y'all say smile.gif

You're acting like the president calls all the shots. America is a democracy ya know. (To the naive anyways)

Simpsons, you can't argue with the ignorant. They won't admit their wrong. Look at history.

Ha ha ha! Good point (about the Republicans)

But it isn't a Democracy. It never was. They say it was, but if you logically think about it, it really isn't.

First reason it isn't. Democracy doesn't have a Senate, or a House of Representatives. That would make us a, Democratic Republic (Which that is what this nation is)

And in a Democracy, it is the majority that votes, not some fat burocrate that we elect to make the "dicisions" for us (More like what HE thinks should be done)

So that is how our "Democracy" is flawed. Sure, it would be pretty damn hard to get the whole nation to vote on something, but isn't that what a real Democracy is?

Second reason, Democracy doesn't have "Republic's" (The House and Senate) I'm surprized we have actually gotten this far with one of those (The Romans fell in like, 100 or 200 years, I don't remember)

And third, Democracy's are, "For the people, by the people" Not, "For the rich, *uck the poor" (Those tax breaks are ludacris. Let's lower taxes for the rich and raise them for the poor!)

1. Didn't know that, could be becuase of Enron and other companies going bankrupt.

2. Job creation has actually increased since 2000, thats one reason why I like Bush.

3. ONe of those crashes was in part becuase of 9/11. But still any crash is bad.

4. How is it Bush's fault that gangsters and thugs are deciding to recruit more people and more people are becoming violent. Thats the state's and city's job to control crime.

5. mmmm

How old was that post becuase it seems for only 2000 and not 2004. I can see reasons why people hate Bush, but maybe you guys should stop ranting and undermining our President and start helping him fix these problems.

And ya, we the people vote for people to be elected, but then its like we have no say in the government......

Uh, how are we supposed to help an idiot? He won't listen to what the people say. The people say, Get out of Iraq. Yet we still seem to be in there... Hmm.......

And we don't have a say in the government. It is the Senators and Representatives that make up the "Peoples" mind in congress. They have no clue wtf the people want, it is all what they want.
