Yeah I couldn't really understand most of what you were saying. I don't really have a problem with the terrain that much, but if Son think it's the most advance best terrain that's completely accrurate then he's completely wrong.

BTW anytime I message cloud "how's the map" he signs off. Way to fill me in cloud.

The aspect that made Final Fantasy X - Final Fantasy X was the sphere grid but there is probably no possible way to do that on SC

no you couldnt. and the locations would be why. theres not enough locations to make a sphere grid.

OMFG WTF HAPPEND?!!
If you're wondering what's happening with the map Cloud's computer is broken. He's suppose to send me the latest version so I can work on it. But if that doesn't work consider the map delayed for a while. I decided not to finish the Demo till we're near completion with the acutally game. That way we'll have all the fighting systems down etc.
The good news is I saw the ending of FFX (Thank you google videos) and i'm almost done acutally beating it, the last boss is really hard. I got pissed off and now my wall has another hole. But I got a lot of motavation from seeing the ending, it's really a good story that no one should miss out on smile.gif.

In other news i'll be buying the actual soundtrack of the game. Because I love the music, but that also means that everything in the map will be 100% Square Enix approved, not remixes that sound simular to the actual music like on VGmusic.com

So I hope you guys still have hope in the project, because I do smile.gif

Instead of an actual sphere grid, the closest thing you can do is allow players to change their grid paths to another character's after they level up, then...well, that's all I can think of right now.

Cloud you don't have to be so snapppy. I just test a map for Ice that's why he was basically saying "hi" to me.
And it's a lot better than other crap you post.

In other news my Soundtrack came in the mail, I tried testing it by playing it simotainusly with the actually game, the soundtrack is dead-on. The trouble was translating all the names from Japanses to English...

I'm looking forward to playing this game when it is unveiled. Since this is will spread across multiple maps, I'm hoping MANY more features can be put in it compared to the FF7 map I've played online awhile ago.

I'm saddened the Zanarkand opener won't be included in the game, even though it was short, I wish there was some way to expand on this to make it into it's own map (or part of another), I thought it was a fun opening. Love that music in the beginning, I forget what it is called happy.gif

Also, will there be Blitzball in the game? Although it would be kind of fun, I personally think implementing more than perhaps a game or two would start to get boring. (Possible Online Map Idea: Perhaps someone else can make a Blitzball game, where you can make a team of certain units and duke it out with other players, idk if this has been made yet or not).

Music will be a big plus I'm sure, so I can't wait to hear that, will the music be looped during play or just for certain scenes? (or both? tongue.gif )

Will summons level up too just as the characters do? Perhaps improve upon their life and attack throughout the game? Oh yes also, since this is multi-map, how are units gonna be transferred from map to map stat-wise?

I apologize in advanced if any of this has been answered, I've only really read the first page of posts or so (couldn't withold my questions any longer than that tongue.gif I was too jumpy about this game) Anyways, good luck on your map-making!

no its just he did that twice now. and it was almost post after post. btw i know y that attachment didn't work, its that problem that popped up it screwed up the attachments. so ill have to send it over aim.

Zwitch, unfortunately there wont be enough locations for Blitzball. The beginning is in a whole different map which is the demo. about music, ask golden lol..summons and spells will get attack upgrades. the characters will get upgrades to everything cept health. i might do it in the second map thou(it my comp ever gets fixed...)

Which one? The two made by KiLLeR2001. Though from your entire post I'm getting the feeling that you're thinking about something, so let me just resay this. The game is one player so far. It'll be easier to get the triggers done and everything. We're not sure how multiplayer would work and still be fun for more people. Our old idea was just put the players in command of your friends in battle, but that's boring.

It'll still be included as the Demo. It's coming near completion of the map though, since we don't know how things will change like how battles will work etc. And if you're wondering all the features from the Full Map will be in the Demo (I.E. Music etc.)

QUOTE

No.
Due to locations and switches being needed for everything, we won't be able to add in blitzball (Though I think Cloud is the only FFX fan who likes it :/). A seperate map was being made that was called Blitzball, it's not being made by us though. So we don't know how that's working out.

Right now looping the music would just be pointless. I never saw a point to looping music it's so boring. I've been trying real hard to find ways of getting the music to play normally. Many people suggest Death Triggers but never clearify how to use it. They say it works like seconds, which I understand. But it just doesn't work when I try out the triggers. I'm really trying hard though, a lot of the atomsphere of the game is the music.

I've suggested to Cloud to use the system for all health where the max is 9999 and the more levels you gain the more health you get (Like you'll start with 360 for lulu and if you level up you'll eventually get 1000 etc.). Though that's still being semi debated, right now we're using a different system. As for Aeons (Summons) you'll get Minerals for each level to upgrade your characters. The Minerals recharge so you can't "waste" them. For instance level 1 ups will cost 1 mineral. So you can upgrade everything you have (Even if you're a toss unit you can upgrade zerg) and level 2 will cost 2 minerals, etc.
It's a system that's been used before so it shouldn't be that new.
