I'm looking forward to playing this game when it is unveiled. Since this is will spread across multiple maps, I'm hoping MANY more features can be put in it compared to the FF7 map I've played online awhile ago.
Which one? The two made by KiLLeR2001. Though from your entire post I'm getting the feeling that you're thinking about something, so let me just resay this. The game is one player so far. It'll be easier to get the triggers done and everything. We're not sure how multiplayer would work and still be fun for more people. Our old idea was just put the players in command of your friends in battle, but that's boring.

I'm saddened the Zanarkand opener won't be included in the game, even though it was short, I wish there was some way to expand on this to make it into it's own map (or part of another), I thought it was a fun opening. Love that music in the beginning, I forget what it is called
It'll still be included as the Demo. It's coming near completion of the map though, since we don't know how things will change like how battles will work etc. And if you're wondering all the features from the Full Map will be in the Demo (I.E. Music etc.)

Also, will there be Blitzball in the game?
No.
Due to locations and switches being needed for everything, we won't be able to add in blitzball (Though I think Cloud is the only FFX fan who likes it :/). A seperate map was being made that was called Blitzball, it's not being made by us though. So we don't know how that's working out.

Music will be a big plus I'm sure, so I can't wait to hear that, will the music be looped during play or just for certain scenes? (or both?
)
Right now looping the music would just be pointless. I never saw a point to looping music it's so boring. I've been trying real hard to find ways of getting the music to play normally. Many people suggest Death Triggers but never clearify how to use it. They say it works like seconds, which I understand. But it just doesn't work when I try out the triggers. I'm really trying hard though, a lot of the atomsphere of the game is the music.

Will summons level up too just as the characters do? Perhaps improve upon their life and attack throughout the game? Oh yes also, since this is multi-map, how are units gonna be transferred from map to map stat-wise?
I've suggested to Cloud to use the system for all health where the max is 9999 and the more levels you gain the more health you get (Like you'll start with 360 for lulu and if you level up you'll eventually get 1000 etc.). Though that's still being semi debated, right now we're using a different system. As for Aeons (Summons) you'll get Minerals for each level to upgrade your characters. The Minerals recharge so you can't "waste" them. For instance level 1 ups will cost 1 mineral. So you can upgrade everything you have (Even if you're a toss unit you can upgrade zerg) and level 2 will cost 2 minerals, etc.
It's a system that's been used before so it shouldn't be that new.

Long live Square-Enix Squaresoft!
Since Square SOFT made FFX we'll add a special thanks to them and not Square Enix.
