I was talking about the weird blue glowing in the Inn, but that works as well Chill.
I'm sure qp will be back. Perhaps he's on vacation or something. We shouldn't have to start worrying unless he is gone for a month and leaves bo thread or post or dig that says he left or he's working on his map or something.
Are you talking about the disabled beacon or the little water specs on the floor that I pointed out earlyer?

ts faster to press 1,z than 1 and click.
there IS something you can ALWAYS criticize you just dont notice it. disgust.gif
That's what I meant, except that it takes time for the zealot to finish building. But I said, pressing 1, then pressing Z is faster then 1, finding your unit, then clicking.
Aside from posting all that other nonsense, and getting back on topic...
I happened to find a glitch. I read along in the post, but I couldn't find anyone talking about this other then: "how good this map was"...
If you are in the gun form and you walk into a crack or crevice within the terrain or between units and decide to switch to your sword form, the game trys to move the dt into a place where it cannot and glitches; and doesn't move the dt to the location (still gives me the message "...you pull out your sword..."), and brings the gun back to its former location leaving me with no active unit. When I try to bring another unit out, it wont allow me to do so.
Hope that helps you out... gl.
Edit: Fixed spelling...
I was talking about the little water specs in the inn you pointed out earlier.
I figured I'd post this for people who lose their unit in the dark.
Hot key it, then when it is lost (if it is lost in the dark), you can then press the hotkey and right click in a light area. However, I have had no problem with that.
edit: Some stuff to note in the Deep Blue demo thing.
1. The medic in the General Store in the farming town still always says 'Hello Stranger' instead of helping me buy stuff.
2. You can see 'Suspicious Rocks' in the minimap, they are bright orange and noticeable, perhaps you could change the color or something
3. If you ask Cedro news, you must walk away and come back to buy things, it's just a little annoying doing that.
4. There are some tiny little terrain errors, but you have to be really looking like me to spot them, so they are fine.
5. The Vaspene Geyser in the middle should be renamed, unless it was just something for the demo.
6. If I have 5 max HP, and my HP is full and I use a Caramel Apple, it will say I used it and have the little hallucination death animation, but my HP will go to 10 and immediately back to 5. SO, the Caramel Apple is wasted. Maybe you could have it say somthing, 'Oh, I am unscathed and healthy right now' or something when the HP is full.
That's all I found.
This map is so new to starcraft! It feels like an adventure not an rpg... But theres 1 problem...
Why didn't anyone else make a map like this? It's very simple using fast systems and items. I hope you guys make maps like this...
Y'all might as well stop playing the map because I'm not working on it. Recent events have put me in quite a fix, and I'm going to have to do a lot of work to right the ship.
Long story short, I'm in danger of not graduating from high school. Maybe in a few months I'll start making maps again... maybe.
Good thinking qPirateKing. School is way more than Starcraft. If anyone fales courses (which I think there are) because of starcraft...drop the game.
Anyways, I really like your map. Its very unique. Different from the others.
MY GPA hasn't dropped because of SC, but in Middle School SC had lowered my grades. Good luck with school qp, and hopefully you do well, and can work on the map during the summer.
F
k school. You're a UMS genius and could more than make a living at making maps.
My grades are actually pretty good. I'm easily in the top 10% of my graduating class... Unfortunately, the school screwed up my credits and I need to make them up in about 2.5 months through E-School.
You could always become a rubish collector and drive around all day picking up peoples bins..
qpirate how old are you by the way??? school isnt all out what it seems once u finish it.. its not all what people make it out to be its only a small step in life, u fail or go top of graduation class all that matters is u "TRY" and "HAVE FUN" hope you work out what you need to do goodluck
Wow school is like the EASIEST thing in life. If you can't handle school and gaming at the same time...good luck when you get out of highschool and your life begins =D.
find some spare time and inspire us
What do you mean by "the school screwed up my credits." Did they not count them and are making you get them again?
I noticed, the Vaspene Geyser has the default amount of gas, so I am guessing it is there for artistic purposes, but it's been frying my mind as to what it's there for.

A living at making maps is what some super nerd would do, + you don't even get paid 1$ for making the best map on battle.net...
I agree screw school, people can learn more by the outdoors and T.V. and games, they teach you better perseverence (
can't spell it) and how to overcome obstacles and think better, all in a fun way... when school takes away about most of your youth time just to MAYBE get a low paid job when you grow up...
I was kidding, but I wanna see this map complete. qP is a totally brilliant map maker and I get a lot of satisfaction of just playing something so great.
Something happened to someguy I know at school who is in gr11 now...
He handed in a core assignment and then the teachers lost it... He didn't get the credit... Next year they found his assignment but they couldn't give him the credit... That must totaly Suck...
GL pirate Hope you get whatever you want

Wow that is the dumbest comment....ever. School doesn't take away from your youth...it is the funnest time of your early youth. And maybe get a low paid job? Yeah, maybe if you are a retard. But w/e. This isn't the place for this =D.

You shouldn't tell people what to think... its not like you know life to such an extent that you can preach people on life.

Very true; they don't pay us anything, not even a penny.
Super Nerd? =X
but...
I personally think that making maps isn't about creating for money, but rather, its about the joy that you bring upon their faces when you release a masterpiece.
For now... let qp go to school. Life is much better if you finish at least high school; besides, its his decision on what he should do.
Void, you talk about super nerds and
man, but you're sitting here mapmaking. No matter what we are we all have a little nerd inside of us.
Anyways, if I could make a living off of making maps I'd do it.
Although, it seems like mapmaking has become more of a job than a hobby. Originally, blizzard made staredit so that campaigns could be created, melee maps as well. Maps that are made these days and when staredit came out are a totally different story.
Let's get back to the topic please...
Well i really only mention 'super nerd' or 'super geek' when i imagine someone who like...has no friends and his only friend/family member is his pc system.
how can we get back onto topic...people have talked about basicly every pixel of this map, it'll all get repetitive. until he makes some updates, which won't be in along time.

Am I the only one who sees the irony in this sentence?
Anyways, the map looks awesome pirate, and I really enjoyed Legacy of Haean, although it was a little repetitive for my tastes.
=P...
I think that taken from qp's map, we can expect to see higher quality maps with great detail and organization.
The organization he used for his console is excellent, its pretty clean and tidy. Not to mention that he made it seem as though he created it simply.
qp created a gateway system that should influence us to create more advanced and unique ways to venture through maps. (though I hate how the food bounces around when you build stuff... can't be avoided...).
hopefully blizzard adds some new editor stuff in 1.12 that will allow for us to do some unique things. (that "player mini map ping" is gonna annoy the crap outta people when its in the hands of noobs, or bored people, talk about *ping ping ping ping ping ping ping* 1000 times in a minute....)
School is fun man... you get to see alot of things you wouldn't expect to see, or didn't get to see before. if ya know what I mean
.
