Im not even sure if this can be done but I think it would be so awsome if u could use every terrain tileset. The biggest reason i can think of is for RPGs. i would love to able to have a map where there is snow, and then maybe a volcano in the RPG i am makin.
well that my idea, what do u guys think.
MY FIRST POST!!!

Not possible unless you mod the tileset files.
Note that you can use any doodad (at least the sprite parts of them) in any tileset.

Isn't the MTXM section just index numbers for terrain tiles that are read from the proper tileset\* files according to the ERA section? If that's right, then it's impossible to do what you're saying.

That's how it works. You can always mod the tileset files copying the tiles from one tileset to the unused tiles of another. But that means mod it, and mod it means disconnect over BNET

and SC is limited to 2048 tilegroups internally

because you have to remember that you need the connections between different terrain types - for example, if you put cliffs on dirt than there is a connection between them, but there is no connection between things from different tilesets, so if blizzard were starting to paint all of those connections starcraft would end up being released in 2002.
