I wanted to start this topic off just as an open-ended talk about religion. It cannot be any specific religion, such as Christianity, unless you make points about the same topic on at least two other religions. So, if you wanted to make a point about Islam, you might also state something about Judaism and Hinduism also. This really has no goal (except perhaps the meaning of life). So, in essence, make any point(s) about the supernatural.
I think that organized religion doesn't harm the world as much as it did, but it still causes enough strife. (For example the general religious point). Christianity has forcefully converted millions of people in Europe and abroad. However, what can you say of Islam? I recently took a history course, and nowhere was it mentioned that they forced people to convert. And Judaism has essentially been persecuted by Christians essentially as long as both have existed together, but until recently Islam really respected Judaism. (For example the specific).
This is to keep the topic from drifting right down the hole that so many other topics have fallen into - a topic devoted to Christianity.
That still wont matter. This topic will just be like any of those other religious topics out there. Evidentally we WILL be talking about christianity and there's really nothing u can do about it since it's happening in just about every other religious thread.
Why? Are Christians afraid of talking about other religions? Open your minds, and your hearts.
Well, our SEN society consists really of only christians and athiests/theists and others. There's barely any other people here of other religions on SEN that would be talking about their religion.
And even if we do talk about other religions, we would be comparing them with christianity and then people would point out what's wrong about that and people would start jumping in and we'd be back on christianity.
That's what i think would happen. Not even 80% sure...
God does exists by the way. lol
How else was the universe created?
I could just as easily say aliens created this universe. Considering the amount of evidence presented, mine is easily as viable as your's.
Ill try to start things off...

Buddhism is practiced by the chinese, hindu by the indians
Regeneration is a kind of Budhism belief right? Is it the same with Hindu?
No i think its the other way around. Hindu believes in reincarnation, buddhism doesnt i think?
If hinduism and budism are different worshipped by different people... Then why do i see the same pictures of the gods and all that crud..
Lets see: Greek and Romans
Buddhism came first, hindu kind of branched out of it or w/e.
EDIT: No way that can't be right

M'kay. this stays open, under one circumstance:
IF THIS TOPIC TURNS INTO A DISCUSSION OF CHRISTIANITY VS ATHIESIM OR AGNOSTICISM, I AM CLOSING IT IMMIDIATLY AND POINTING THE EFFECTED PARTIES IN THE DIRECTION OF A THREAD ALREADY CORROSPONDING WITH THOSE TYPES OF ISSUES.
whoo. Hopefully that'll catch ya'lls attention.
