I thought this would be a interesting followup to my rigging rant.
I was playing a 2vs2 Altered Starcraft III for no reason whatsoever. Just felt like it. My ally died off really quick, I found it strange that my reinforcements to help my ally were never enough to prevent his doom.
I ended up massing hydras and beating both of my opponents. I found out later, that red, had 9999999 minerals. Single handedly, I beat a rigger and his partner (it wasn't too much of a really interesting uber micro skillful tactics kind of game as it was the fact that they made really stupid mistakes which made you wonder what kind of people play SC these days).
I think the moral of this speaks for itself.
As of now, you will rarely see me in any public games now since half of them are all rigged. Sucks for the random person who enjoys a surprise game from "the guy from staredit.net" [/ego boost]. If you catch me in the channel op staredit.net, chances are I will be wanting to play a nice balanced game. Same for map night. Rigged games will never be allowed there, so make the most of it and join us in some fair games where the odds of winning or losing depends on skill, not your ability to set one trigger to give you infinity minerals.
Heres a screenshot and replay (replay might be corrupted and the outcome might be different then as its supposed to be, as it was in a game I just tried. Screenshot seems to be missing what red spent, but it still shows you how much he had).
Not much I can do except congratulate you on owning them.
Look forward to map night tomarrow, ArchonTagInColor woot.
lol WOOT g/j yoshi, tonight is gone be the first mpa night i have ever been 2, well got to play in, either the channels full or i'm working or i'm just busy with friends and g/f this is gona be cool

Gj on killing them with hydras
Too bad it might be corrupted, Im going to watch it in a slower speed and hopefully it wont screw up

Gah, it messed up again, 8x or 16x speed tends to mess it up, and maybe 4x, becuase thats what i watched it on
lol kind of expected it didn't you? if the host is in acertin spot(not for this chance) its possably rigged or they like that spot
Great job Yoshi keep up the rigger bashing its funny to see you pwn them and other people who rig maps

if u keep up the good work we the people of SEN can help beat the riggers then they will leave battle.net because they know we have beaten them
I do that all the time (beat riggers) not too much of a challenge if they rig a map XD
I once beat a terran with 9999stat marines
Personally Yoshi, i think your mis-using the News Page, for unrelated, personally topics, that although talk on this issue of Mapping, should really be left to Garbage, Serious Discussions and such. Maybe move them off the News Page, and replace with a small News Post, on the topic of; "Yoshi and Rigging; Views, Opinions and Options" or such. And leave it at that.
its not really much of an accomplishment, ive beaten riggers plenty of times, but still its an accomplishment, even if its a small one *grabs energy drink* cheers mate

I told you we're not a news site. If you're coming here for starcraft news, don't. Go to some of the other community sites for that. (Although we shall post news worthy items that effect map makers, like the new patch or something).
We're purely map making and map playing news, and you know very well that once in a while I'll voice my opinions and experiences.
I mainly did this because the rigging was getting on my nerves (literaly, 2/3 of all the games on bnet hosted are rigged, they're no fun).
heres one of the most balanced mass maps i've seen
Only rigged maps allowed on Map Night are for testing purposes. (ALpha/Beta maps)
1. You're an idiot for bringing this up.
2. It's easy to beat newbs even if they have all the power in the world.
3. Rigged maps have ALWAYS been on Battle.net, and are no more prevalent then now.
i have an idea
WHAT IF, we sent a team of mappers out, to find all the maps they can. then they play them, and if they're rigged, un-rigg them, then protect them, then send em back out into the public!
BAM
no more rigging
Illusion the problem with that is that the rigger's still have the original rigged maps which they will just spread back.
I don't see why people call Yoshi for discussing it, rigged maps are a serious problem on the UMS. I bet it turns tons of people off from playing certain games for a long time. Unfortunatley there really is no way to remove it, as long as people get entertainment out of beating people unfairly there will always be rigged maps.
Yoshi, I can suggest these two things:
1. Play melee, they are almost never rigged, and you can tell from the start.
2. Host the game.
Goodluck.

[cough]tomOrrow[/cough] ArchonTagInColor is one of my favorite maps. Besides Snowball Warz, it's one of the few maps I can actually honestly say I'm a pro at. I'll try my best to go, and y'all better try YOUR best to let me join a game

Personally Yoshi, i think your mis-using the News Page
That's like saying, "No offense, mr. Admin, but you're abusing your powers and I think you <insert derogatory verbs here>!!" Besides that you can't really do anything about it, he can also IP ban you! But of course, Yoshi has enough respect for most of us to simply call you unthoughtful and, at most, stupid, instead of banning anyone just because he's having a bad day. Otherwise, why would I still be here?
good job yoshi put thoes riggers back in there place

ok, i got another idea, why dont we get all the maps that people usually play, un rigg em, protect em, and then put em on the DLDB so whenever someone wants to play the unrigged version, its here for them.
Hmmm... in the future I'll put my rantings in another forum (I guess theres too many people coming in to actually personalize the news posts now). Anyway, so rigging was a problem before, but now almost EVERY map I see is rigged... which is why I brought it up. It's gotten worse.
Yeah, its no longer the news is it

. I meant this doesn't follow the idea of a news post, its should be linked to a "Article Discussion" rather than a post in itself. We are not a news site, but i doubt SEN is a debate site.

Sounds like a certain hypocritical admin with an avatar from the Mario series, doesn't it

?
personally, i LOVE rigged maps. Although yes, they are the cheapest things ive ever played, its even MORE fun to find these riggings, exploit its weakness, and nail them for their cheatin' selves. It makes uncovering a rigger to his teamate and all the other players so much sweeter
Best way to play a rigged map is to ask for rematch and inbetween, rig it back.
I bet after losing, the rigger decided he needed to win, so he rigged it even more. 9999 everything for him

!
Actually if i was going to rig a map, i'd just make it give me all opposition units when i lost mine, and make them be defeated.
