Ever think of hosting the 1st Annual SEN Terrain contest? I think it would be a great idea, winners would get there terrain formated to a banner used for SEN's banner and get in the Hall of fame, for terrain. I really would like the host the contest and if i do get to (with Yoshi's and IP's permission) i will be judgeing on:
Originality

(How much special-effects were put onto the map, sprites, 1x1 isom, ect.)
Scenery
(Sprites added to form more details to background)
*May add more judged parts of the terrain soon*
Basicly for judging i would rate them on a scale of 1-10, then get the adeverage of their score(s) and their's your rating. If their is a tie, i would simply give them a topic for terrain example: a water fall with a bridge, and who ever does the best wins. Depending on the # of contestents, is how it may very in rules such as, duel-maps, and wether or not there should be Tryouts, Semi-Finals, Finals. Perhaps i would make it a 10 mineral entry fee, but the winner takes all. Depending on who likes the idea, if this becomes a contest i will be sure to write a list of rules, basicly for now i want the public's opinion. If you think this is a good idea please post feedback, thank you.

There should be a thing where people can vote on who does best terrain in hall of fame. Like ranks.

Well i don't want to just see pics, because any1 can rip a pic from some1 else, i guess they could map wise to but for this contest it's got to be playable, because i want to be able to walk around as a unit and see these structures or w/e. That's how ide like to judge.

How about if someone was to post a original idea and then someone else makes same thing later, the first poster gets the the pic in hall of fame, not the second.

Well my original idea was for people to show me there originality not me give them something to make, ide rather see their creativity, any1 can copy an idea, not every1 can make good idea's. The whole "I tell you what to make idea" was like something i would do to kill a tie breaker.

I accept this idea, you jsut have to get permision of an administrator to do this.

Also me and beer just discussed on msn, perhaps the winner could gain access to SMT's official forums that are blocked by the public (only goes to the winners that arn't in SMT). But if we allowed this, they would have to follow SMT's rules or they would be banned from our forums.

Raise the mineral entrance fee to like 25. That way you can make 2nd and 3rd prize amounts.

To keep you updated i spent 30 mins writing rules for the contest and i submited it in the news sector it says an adminstrator will review it and decide to use it or not, i hope it works.
