I have an idea, why doesn't someone make a file for starforge with some custom made brushes? It would start a new trend...And we wouldn't have to explain anymore how to do this stuff..it's true it may be too easy for everyone but to me it seems like a new program. Imean before Xtra alot of things were missing placing wise, then some1 shared it with the world, and now everyone can share these skills with ease. I guess in away it would be kinda like what happend to bounds. Everyone learned how to do them with the advance-ness of our programs of today. Why not help the starter's out?
Dude by doing this no ones will become a good terrainer, let people do it themselves and get used to it...

I kinda like the idea, it's just like how Blizzard started us out with all the doodads, we kinda start newbies out with some prefabricated terrain creations like extended ramps/bridges/etc to use.
ok do what you want, but don't blame me when every future terrainer has no real skill... doodads arent even terrain, their doodads. an addition to terrain.
It was just an idea man, Someone will end up doing it anyway...and then will move on to the next thing,...
Personally, I see it as a good idea. Being a newbie UMS guy, it'd be just useful to not come here and spam newb questions about "how do you make a waterfall" or "WTF a building in a SC map??".
If you're seriously interested, you'll just search HOW to do it anyways, so why not make things easier? Might actually trigger more interest in map making

You're just probably mad since people have it eaiser then you if we get "custom" pallettes, so your terrain won't look as unique.
Melee mapers could use this too. They can bring a whole new element into melee gaming. And I bet you the greater majority of melee map makers don't know how to do this stuff.
this is a great idea for alot of the people that have troulbles doing terrina (like me)
I, aswell see it as a good thing. I'm a decent terrain maker.. when it comes to style and feeling. But when it comes to 3D terrain I SUK ASS (sorry).
I mean I can mix doodads to make some cool stuff.. but I can NOT make 3d buildings/temples/etc for the life of me.
Palletes would ROCK ON for me.
Perhaps we should do it then, maybe start a team...or something to help create new doodads for those who suck..
I think it should only be done with basic things... No waterfall I think waterfall should only be in DK's Lost Temple... If you give melee mappers the waterfall Then every map will have waterfalls... THERE WILL BE NO END!!!
Other then that do it... Make extended bridge and Ramps and whatnot

Well it would be all original idea's no ripping idea's and ofcoarse we would get credit

Yea I totally like the idea of newbies just copying and pasting, without doing anything for themselves. It really makes the mapping community better.
