liek i know it can detect doors and stuff...but like the cursor sprite..., when players click you see it. would it count as a sprite on the map? if it could then you can have like a mass system folowing your clicks! also you can use them to get heros, etc...

just wanted to know huh.gif

Everything in the sprites section is counted towards the sprite limit.

Wait do you mean when you click it makes the cursor mark? It won't count because it is not part of the map.

I don't think it can be detected, since it's a Pure Sprite.

By "detect" I assume you mean with a Bring or Command trigger. You can only use triggers to "detect" things in the unit layer or things in the sprite layer that are drawn as units.

But when you are USING StarForge you can actually SELECT the doors/sprites etc, unlike SCXE.

You're partially correct. When you place a door or trap in original SE, it is actually a sprite, but drawn as a unit. Remember that sprites can be true sprites or unit-sprites. Unit-sprites function (almost) exactly like units, including the fact that they can be recognized by triggers.

oh

are minerals true sprites or unit-sprites? in interceptor Defnece(i think) has a mineral as a picture where the enmies spawn...

Minerals could probably be placed in any of the three modes - unit, sprite, unit-sprite. They are usually units. If they can be walked under, they are sprites. In general, anything you place in the doodad layer of SE is a sprite. If you can select it in-game, then it is a unit-sprite. Anything that can be placed as a unit can also be placed as a unit-sprite, but the reverse isn't quite true, or at least not with the same effects. For example, you can place a start location or map revealer as a unit-sprite and have it show up in the game. You also can't preset the state of a door or trap (as far as I know) if you place it in the unit layer.
