I have no doubt this is just a warm up. Rumor has it there will be some awesome features on their way, but Suicidal Insanity has decided to keep it a secert. Make sure you make use of the new scmdraft forums to suggest ideas and report bugs for the next version!

I'm hardly going to take out things that are already present am I? Scmdraft has publicly had a trigger editor for at least 6 months.

Ahhh sweet new stuff. Can you make the tileset index thing load faster too? SF loads instantly when I scroll down but SCMDraft seems to have a noticeable lag time.

RexyRex - Anti-SCMD since StarForge.
Give me something SCMD has that StarForge can't do that effects my maps in any large way...and you just gave me a reason to use the program.

I, personally, like SCMDraft a lot. I just tend to stay away from it because most of my map work is with triggers rather than terrain and sprites. Also, every once in a while SCMDraft messes up my strings, so I tend to stick with StarForge. But I don't think you should be so hard on SCMDraft, Rexy. It's easier to do a lot of things in SCMDraft than it is in StarForge. I especially like the subtile brush.

Well, will it have a trigger function and a fixed tileset bar? confused.gif

The main reason is isometicle terrain, it get screwd in SF and you can't do both isometic and square in Xtra, so SCMdraft saved a hell of a lot of time when making terrains for big maps.

SCMDraft owns in the department of NeverCrashing, and all its features work perfectly. Takes up less memory as well.

When I started using SCMDraft, it was SCMDraft 1 Alpha. It had all these weird numbered errors when I openned maps, so I got used to SF instead.

Looks nice! The more I look into SCMDraft the more I see it useful.

hehe, that was a long time ago. Those were debug messages that came if you tried to place isometrical terrain, sometimes it registered the click to load as a click on the map and started that.

Anyone answer what subtitle mode is?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by BeeR_KeG on 2005-02-10 at 19:29:28
Hmm... Now I'll have to say this:

SCMDraft Terrain > SF Terrain
SF Trigger > SCMDraft Triggers

I've always thought that SCMDraft wouls surpass SF but not in all parameters. Some of SF's bugs give us nice features.

If SI makes a triggering system like SF's and still has the isometric terrain. I will make mad love to SCMdraft... (But, the square terrain has to be faster for me to completely drop SF) tongue.gif Hope it comes out soon i am looking forward to it w00t.gif

It crashes on me every time I go to close it. tongue.gif I don't care, though, because the end result is the same.

I wouldn't quite agree with "all" its features working perfectly...
certain units like seige tanks and goliaths claim they have no air attack or ground attack...and every time they try to attack in StarCraft the whole game freezes up cause of the mpq file that comes with scmdraft 2

the only reason I know all this is cause im a mpq maker...

wtf is a mpq maker?

as I have told you in one of the other 10 threads you posted this in goliaths and siege tanks dont have any attack, only their turrets have an attack.
