If you can fix the blocky ness, it will be in the hall of fame for sure but only if you can fix the blocky ness...

If you didn't understand exactly what i met around the upper left and upper middle part of the map (where there are weird lines and the tall dirt) need to be blended better. I like your uniqueness on the bridge though, i consider it very original.
NNNNNNOOOOOO MP)3 BEAT ME!!!! ROFL....
I was working on the exact same thing I didnt want to tell anyone because I thought someone else would steal it lol....
Well good job on beatin me to the punch XD looks good though

This bridge is the coolest thing sincel sliced bread. I like! I understand it is blocky just because it is a concept terrain, not a completely blended terrain. Would be awesome if you could create a brush for that too.
Maybe you could experiment with putting high dirt cliff faces on the lower right hand side of the bridge to make it look less blocky and avoid using the same tile. As of now it's very good, but the identical tile used over and over makes it look too fake.
wow that was a grat idea, if that ws done better than you could put it in a map
It's extreamly blocky. I doubt there is any way (other than loads of sprites) to fix the bridge. It would be pretty sweet if you could though.
Mp)3, try using temple walls to make it look better.
Holy crap chuiu, that's what I was thinking! Maybe you could try to make the middle of the bridge start up higher, so it's the two ends go down into the water but the middle doesn't touch. That is to say the bridge would be this shape: TT
That's just to add realism, for how many bridges have you seen that are one solid piece? So the you would have the temple wall facing the right, and where the middle cuts out (from this angle you could see the northernmost inner side of the bridge) you could have terrain facing left going up to meet the overhang and thus make it look more three-dimensional, if that makes any sense whatsoever.
Ya temple walls are the only thing to make it look more realistic...
BTW: In your map your cliffs by the waterfalls looked messed with the Ruin tiles on it... Just to let you know...
Try giving it a bottom and a shadow to make it really look like it's "above" the water and not even touching it.
Okay lemme make a little list here:
- Use Temple wall. (Question: Do you mean just the bridge? or the cliff side?) But well, actually I Wanted it so that it looked man made rather than just someone cut out the dirt on the sides and put in some water. I think I'll stick with what's there for now.
- Blend in. Obviously.
- Elevate the bridge. I'll try and do this on another one, but I'm going to keep it this way for a while. (I'm actually working on a double decker one ><)
I'll try and fix it and post a new one up.
Making it a suspension bridge would be awesome. I mean like, if you could see the bridge suspended over the air and see the water underneath instead of having a really big wall like what your bridge looks like.

Excellent idea beer, i think it would be a very original and usefull doodad in lots of rpgs, perhaps me and DK should make one for our doodad downloads.
Great, more credit given away to Beer. Curse you. Read my post above. *Cough*
Yea well just replace the copied square thing for the whole side with the temple wall, so it blends in a little better. Then get rid of the random trees placed on it. I doubt trees would grow on a bridge like that.
Anyway for the one you're going to actually get 'above' the water, for the shadows you'd use lifted terran buildings that are disabled with triggers. It should look really good once it's fixed up.

Coolio i like it alot, I don't care about blockyness in terrain, as long as overall its original and nice looking... the most blockyness is bounds.... I hate it! someone should make a bound like normal terrain mixed in it... that would be scenic fun

Also, I noticed you used the correct side of the bridge even though water clased with the cliff edge. Try using the opposite side of the bridge instead, it will make it easier to cover up (no blue showing through the trees).
EDIT: So sorry, that is if DK's way won't work out for you.
I jsut made a bridge liek that only mine is almost perfect non blocky

Heres A Hint... Take a look at The Doodad Palet Part... I used one of those for the side...
