i REEEEEEALLY hate how in the new one, i cannot see who is online or how i cannot use the +,- buttons to minimize the latest news thing, im just wondering what you all think of this

meh it's ok, i don't know what we lost, i know we loft the newest uploaded maps, and thats all i remember O.O

i thought maybe someone working on it,
but since its still like this it seems thats intention..

i liked to old style much more for many reasons...





ADDITION:

well it had the latests submitted files,
the online list,
some handy links,

and looked much more like boooooH

The old one looked better because I have 2 problems with the new one.

1) In the DLDB I can use 4 Map Spotlight spots but in the Lates news section only 3 are viewable.

2) I got a Big slab of grey on the page and it makes everything look the same color. It just lookes dull because almost everything is now gray.

The old one was cool, but the +,- are pretty cool

Map Spotlight is kind of cool, but it should be removed.

I liked the "latest uploads" part of the last one. That's the main reason why most people found out about certain maps without having to randomly search a section they are interested in.

I liked the old format, because I could turn off the latest maps feature whenever I wanted to.

I do not like this new format. I likes the recent submitted maps at the left. Now it just looks weird.

Also, before I don't automatically log on everytime I open Firefox. My user name and password are filled in and I need to press "Log in" Not I need to use my fingers and click TWICE! (j/k about this part but stilll....)

I never use the portal so I don't care

You can still do that you know. It takes up less space from before.


Heres the deal:

Users online - Just see that in the board index. Theres no point in having it take up all that space for nothing.

Latest files - We're going to make a section later with the 20 latest files, tutorials and everything. It will be infinately better then having it on the portal.



The new portal is a LOT more clean, hense not having any of the garbage on it.

Don't like it? Too bad I guess you have to do an extra click eh?

If you guys think users online and a little latest files display makes all the difference, go ahead to some site that has that.

It's just we have too much room now, it seems to dull and blank. There's nothing on the portal, just map spotlight and news. While if you look at the board index, you see all the info, "Last Posted," info about the forum and what it's for.

huh.. well cant we say it makes a difference for us and we liked the old one better, without moving to anywhere else ?! its just our opinion.. no need to send us elsewhere...

it looks dull... The DLDB on the left side was really handy because as soon as i loged in I was like O look a new map is in and would go check it out.

Also I liked seeing who was online it made it look really neat but now its dull and all black and gray exept for the top...

Mabe add an option into "control pannel" Where you can chose what style you want?

Simplicity is sometimes better than complexity. In the future, I will add a custom start page (map spotlight will show up on that page) so you can choose to see the latest files, news, or whatever.
