Hey, I just thought of an idea that you can do Subliminal Messages in your map. You have to "cover it up" with actually characters talking, or chat text will be lost and players will go WTF.

I'm pretty sure that will work, but keep in mind Yoshi, any waits below 84 ms become convert to 84 ms because that is the least amount of time the SC engine can wait.

Yeah, I figured as such. But it should work without too much notice. If not, they wont be able to read it, but it'll be in their heads

This is also another good way on not getting your map stolen since Map stealers rarely look at all the triggers.
You could have something like this:
Displaytext("
Map made by: BeeR_KeG[eM]
", 4);
Then you could make another display text trigger to cover it up.

You could have some nutcase you meet in an RPG mutter the "subliminal messsages" under his breath while talking. Then later in the game he screws up so that you hear what hes saying under his breath and the characters start yelling at him.

Have a feature in a map for people who are too polite to ban, but want someone to leave. When activated, it starts sending subliminal messages to a player saying "leave the game"...

you could infact do that...flood the dude u wnan ban with text AND music...i tried it once...and it froze my comp lol......it played like 100 of the same music at once....realyl laggy....put it as a fail safe...if they have a ahack or somthing?

Subliminal Messages aren't actually far fetched. It IS possible to do them, but we dont know if it'd work. I'm just being hypothetical, which is what this forum is for.

I think subliminal messages would be partially for fun, but are realistic. I think that if you were advertizing a business site then it would work, but otherwise it would be halarious.
