It's pretty good but it does have some flaws.

1) There are too many sprites
2) I see no need for the borders on the cliffs. I did that same effect and it looked nice without borders. Just make the High Dirt terrain and then just replace the tiles with temple.
3) The stairs look like they are actually higher than the terrain it leads to.

I like it, but you would probably not need as many sprites if you tried a little harder to blend the terrain. Use sprites for flavor, not as an excuse for mismatched tiles. I make sprite-intensive pieces, but I try not to use them to cover up mistakes, too often.

its nice just that it's a little blocky, but I rate that terrain 4½ stars

thanks all, some of the sprites that are in there are not covering up mistakes, I just added them in becuase I thought the map would look nice smile.gif next time I will try and use as little a sprite as possible! happy.gif

Pretty nice man. Just if its gonna be in a huge map try not to put many sprites. Try to enter terrain team with that, you might get in.

There is way too many sprites that cover way too many blocky parts insted of putting sprites, work so it just doen't look blocky.

Anyways, good try for your first one. Oh, I just realize something, the way it looks to me, it seems you can't go up, there is like a blocky thing that looks like dirt... Not shure, have you tried going up those stairs?

oh wow I never noticed that. well I geuss its a sprite I must have added and forgot about pinch.gif . well my guy can run up and down the stair case easy, and I will say again that alot of those sprites that are in the map aren't covering anything up!!!! they are just there becuase I thought they would look nice smile.gif

Cool, but when are you guys gonna start doing non-temple/badlands terrains? I'd be more impressed to see some diversity here.

On, then if they arn'T covering up anything, remove most of them and just leave a couple to have an effect. But like you currently are, they're is way too much srpites.

i like these alot, theyre cool, try taking out a few bushes at the top of the stairs, they make it look like the stairs are higher than the other terrain like beer keg said

Badlands and temple are the only ones that have been pioneered thus far, they're a bit easier as well.

I'd like to see some ashworld.

In jungle And Badlands you can do almost anything...
High Mountains.
Dark Tunnels.
Oceans.
(not Saying WaterFall)

Also you can make it look good easily... Depending On the map your making you chose the right terrain style...

For example My DarkTales RPG I chose jungle because it suits the vibe I want.

The terrain was prety good for your first try...
Extreamly Sprite Intensive...
Statue Looks Kinda Weird...

Overall: 7/10
