I really think this is something for creative works, even if it does relate to map making.
You wan to use a sound editor like microsoft sound recorder, already on your computer if you use a windows OS.

Music is a creative work and sound recorder doesnt splice sound files, please dont post if you dont know what you're talking about, thanks 
Zombie, download Goldwave a free sound editor. You can then delete splice and do all that fun stuff.
