I'm on one site where it gives you a bunch of blank boxes, and you fill in the questions you want answer. Like instead of saying 'email address:' you can change it to 'electronic mail' or 'reach me' etc, or you could just delete the ability altogether.
see the site here:

It's a bit more personal and gives more useful information.
I don't know if I'd use the journal personally, mainly because I don't map. I have a blog *not telling you where,* and I keep updates of my artwork on my dA account, but that's because I'm active on the site. Perhaps other people would like to post updates of their maps in a personalized blog, as well as personal updates?
Good:
Cuts back on the 'I'll be gone for a few weeks' topics in the garbage, since they can just write it in there blog.
Cuts back on the 'omg when is your map going to be done?!' comments, since they can just go check the blog, if the person did not update the thread concerning their map (I think there is one of those...)
Deviant Art has a nice set up too. So does

Doing all Kinds of stuff like that I think will complicate the life of our Admins
The Bio spot I think will be nice, since people can't know really who you are with what we have now. Customizable colors can be cool but them the site will lose there stile... ANyways it will be easyer to judge and comment once well have seem it.
Oh, and will the admin section be veiwable by all the people who look at your profile, or will it be only seen by admin and mods?
