I can't get away from all the people that said my GTA maps suck (they did!), so I've had to kind of hide while I work on a similar map. Yep, I'm making a Mercenaries map, cuz it's my favorite game EVER! If you've been wondering what I've been doing, then know that I have been carefully testing and balancing it. It'll have plenty of innovation, so don't expect anytime soon. Right now I'm only releasing a really, really, SHORT demo of the gameplay. It is playable, but it only has 1 patrol route and only the A.N. and Russian Mob are on the map. Trust me, it's good for 60 seconds of your time to try it, and it may be a new era of maps for me. Wish me luck on this one...

Oh, and by the way, if you REALLY want to try it, you'll want to use the included mod, since the weapons fire way too slowly in normal SC. The mod simulates real Mercenaries better than SC can by itself, but it isn't absolutely necessary. Course, this means I'll have a non-mod version too.

Feedback is appreciated, but don't complain about the innovation in the demo, it's only a appetizer, not a meal!

Make sure the mod is compatible with v1.12...

I will be sure to play your map when it comes out!!!

Just Dled the map, ima play it really soon. Just a few questions because i don't know how mods work...

1)Do i need the all 3 of those files in a certain folder? or just anywhere?

2)What does a MOD do?

Just stick 'em in the Starcraft folder. With Starcraft.exe

this does sound pretty fun. I myself like to play some mercenaries maps. i dont want to download. but eventually i will play it.

Do you mean "Believe it or not they did say my maps suck" or are you finally giving in and noticing they sucked?

Also I think you only attacked the mod and not map o_O. Well anyway I was hoping to make a map like that but meh.

Yea i agree, i just rented that game and took it back, it was really a great game and i was just starting top get my ideas together to make it, but we'll see how urs is and if its good and accurate i wont need too for myself.

I didnt want to double post so i just edited this post, i played the game, and.. well im just hoping thats in serious starting stages. Also just for a suggestion you could make the game alot more easier to use if u used a dropship system, or getaway/barracks system to hijack/enter/exit vehicles, pick up weapons, and throw grenades, because i didnt have a zergling under my unit to throw a grenade. Oh geez, leave it to me to post the Über-glitched version. Right now i'm still trying to beat the respawn system to a pulp so it works in all situations, and I'm doing some work on having allies "enter" your vehicle. Right now, all 20 or so vehicles i've included are jackable, since i used 20 different triggers. So now instead of just being able to jack ONE car, you can jack them all! *COUGH*MEXICAN CAR*COUGH*. I really hate Gta: mexico city now, so I even I, STAREDITRON 4000, PUBLICLY APPOLIGIZE FOR TORTURING SEN WITH GTA:MXC!!!!

Screenies will show up if sum1 posts in 5 mins...

Note that the way I'm putting the map together is not how it was in Mercenaries. Towns will be out of place, and there is a base where the MASH should be. This is easier because of Starcraft's limited map space.

FIXED, but you have to click on the gray lines...

SE4000 not to insult your mapping skills but this map is very advance and, you are not advance. Don't try revolutionary things early won't get you anywhere.

who ever said it had to be "advanced" this early. Besides, it'll take months if not a year to complete. I have to do something in between the times I play real Mercenaries!

This little package is much better, but I'm not too sure about the unit damages. The weapons on most units are alot faster so they can simulate machine guns. They all do the exact same damage, but some have more armor, etc.

I'm not good at balancing units...I could use help on this...

Hmm I wonder if theres possibilties that terrain and have destruction instead of Terran Buildings (AKA the structure terrain)

It seems interesting, I own the game and it seems to be fairly accurate with stats, etc.

A great asset to the community of B.Net & SEN if completed and made into a great game.

I'm about halfway through with the terrain, its almost complete, but i'll be changing it alot, so...

I'm still balancing the units too, since firebats and zealots have no range...

lol its funny seeing them get owned in regular sc, but they own right back with the mod!
